Thank you for the helpful video. Came across your channel when I did a search for Fanxiang. Very little information available about these so I appreciate your efforts. I ended up buying a 2TB for a second drive, different model the S770,same brand. For a hundred bucks I figured why not? Great channel by the way, excellent content. Liked and subscribed. Iv had 1 of these drives for almost 2 years nvme gen 3 and now I'm getting another one because the first one never gave me issues . Looks like they did a good job

I've used aliexpress heatsink on it without peeling off original one. Is it gonna work just fine or will it overheat?

apparently the S880 does not have Dram Cache, but the S770 previous model does have Dram. I have been seeing more and more SSDs going Dramless. I ordered the 4tb s880. Kind of disappointed I found out after it did not have Dram.

I have the S790 4TB with Cache as Main-SSD for my Asus ROG Ally and it's pretty good.

​@@AndreasReinerSzallis Hi,bro,S790 also does not have Dram Cache.Currently,among the products sold by Fanxiang,only SATA S109 and NVME S770 have Dram Cache.Other products are equipped with SLC Cache technology,which can simulate Cache in a short time,but the speed will still drop to a certain extent after long-term use.

I thought that there are 2x Versions of the S790, one with Cache and one without Cache, which is then relabeled as S880 for certain Markets and sold as a S790 just without a Cache for other Markets. I bought my S790 4TB via AliExpress and got it shipped to Australia. How can I check, which Version I have ?

@@AndreasReinerSzallis you should be able to just look it up by S/N Or pull the heat sink off and look for the Dram Chip on the drive.
