So something I want to bring up is Zipp at the start. With her looking through her family history to see if any queens were “different” really brings to light how she possibly feels about herself becoming Queen, how she probably won’t measure up, and I am all for that coming back in future episodes

A really cute episode with a background for Sunny. But we have more questions than answers. Who is Sunny's mom? Is she dead or still alive? What she wants to find? Is she, like Sunny, has the ability to transform into an alicorn? Is she originally for Skyros? And I hope we discover more about the others families (even if we know many thing for Zipp, Pipp and Misty) but for Hitch and especially Izzy, it is really mysterious because we know nothing about her family.

I loved seeing the whole family together and hopefully in the future they reveal more about Sunny's mother to find out what happened to her and her true intentions on her journey. What an absolute masterpiece of an episode this was! It has now become my new favorite episode in all of Tell Your Tale! Everything about it just worked and I cannot wait to see where they'll go with it! It still blows my mind that Jessica and Naomi went from writing episodes like Sparky's Sick and Baby Critter's Club to this wonderful and emotional episode, as well as pretty much every one of their episodes this season. TYT has released peak content this week. I don't know how many people have said this already but this feels like a mother's day episode,but that's just speculation could be a coincidence. We FINALLY KNOW SUNNNY'S MOM!! Honestly this felt like a long time coming we may not have a name but we have a face and as much I would love to theorize this is supposed to be my review of an episode. So the episode starts off with some early Zipp humor with her looking back on her own generational family album. As Sunny goes through her memories of remembering her mother and we the viewers experience her past we get a look on how Sunny mom was. While it's not confirmed Sunny mom is deceased it's heavily implied, while she may be gone she will always be with her in the stars (could possibly be implying something bigger) In conclusion a very heartwarming episode about Sunny and her mom and it's nice to know that Argyle wasn't by hims3lf only one to believe that Ponies could reunite. Not to denounce the blockywockys I do wish this was the first 20 minute special. And a final applause to I believe are the current MVPS of this season Jessica and Naomi. Episode rating: 10/10 Edit: Honestly this comment should be longer but it would've ended up being more of a theorizing comment that an actual review I'm hoping the next special has something to do with Skyros or the alicorn plot line in general. You know that artifact that Opaline used to drain Sparky. I think that maybe Sunnys' mom went to retrieve it thinking it could be a key to bringing back magic and and didn't survive the trip.

Christ, imagine that. Sunny’s mum went to the Isle of Scaly and maybe she got taken down by the dragons or another force. Makes her take somewhat sadder if that’s the case. 😭

Do you realize where it was? . Sunny's mom needed a specific map for her journey. -> The Dragon Stone was in top of the Isle of Scaly (inactive without magic, as Opaline explained to Misty). . It would be strange that they had TWO maps for the same place (perhaps the one Sparjy "restored" with his dragonfire was the "original"; with Sunny's Mom recreating it). | If it was the case, she would have had to climb down an almost vertical cliff down to the entrance of the "lava tunnel" the Marestream fly through in "Make Your Mark" Ch6E1. . It is at least 100 km long (assume she knows where to turn), with many parts requiring climbing. -> She also has to carry all the water & food, plus equipment (she may be an earth pony, but she has no magic). She obviously did NOT died in the lava tunnel (Zipp would had noticed her "final camp" / tomb while flying); but was probably stuck on the "deserted" island (dragons hidden & hibernating) not having enough resources to make the whole travel back alone. -> She may not be aware that magic returned (since there was no connection between the Prisbeam Lantern & the Unity Crystals there); but may have seen the dragons from afar recently. She may have gone to the other 2 places the lava tunnel "splits" (the Jade Sea & a mysterious "endpoint").

I think what makes this episode especially heart-warming is that, if Sunny was consciously reliving her memories, then that means she was physically seeing both of her parents for the first time in years. Jessica and Naomi are now 4/4 With that being said life has put Sunny through the ringer let's go down the list. • loses her mother at a young age • loses her father later down the line • was more or less an outcast from her own community • had to live with the fact that her father died as the town's crazy man • even though she was one of the main reasons ponies reunited ponies still didnt care about unless she put on her alicorn persona • her thinking she's the only alicorn left would probably put a lot of stress on her mind considering the only other alicorn she knew tried to kill her With that being said I would love to see an episode that takes place between the passing of Sunny dad and the main story of ANG considering that Hitch was Sunny only friend during those times I think it would be nice to see how he helped her get through those times

I almost forgot to express it, but I'm also excited if said new reunion between mother and daughter Starscout (even alongside Argyle if possible) could actually happen during the trip to Skyros later. I'm sure it will be as shocking as Misty and Alphabittle seen in MYM (even with the fantasy novel-style dramatic effects)... it would be 101% satisfactory. 🥲👍👍

It is the Rainbow of Light (from 1986's G1 MLP), that was trapped in Megan's heart_shaped locket. -> When Opaline got ALL the cutiemark magic, she casted an omnidirectional, non-specific "Shatter All Barriers" (even hers) Spell. It not only exposed the Brighthouse & Unity Crystals (her intention), but also released Spike, Sparky, The Rainbow of Light & the anti-portals protections in Equestria (plus who-knows_what-else...) Sunny "won" The Rainbow's allegiance with her speach about Hope & Freedom (this is clear, because it returned to the locket & emblazoned her cutiemark in it). -> She re-released it with a ritual just after discocering Allura was near Maretime Bay (it is now working "free", by itself).

I feel like episodes have been good lately because there are not tide to what happens in MYM, now writer's are able to write what they want now and are getting creative with it. I can't wait for what stories await us in the future ❤

Also, I think Sunny's colorful streak has a deep history actually expressed with this following theory: "During the G5 movie, Sunny decided to completely dye her hair to... clear her mind for a moment about it." and, after the magic returned and the MYM series began, Sunny was once again inspired by her lessons learned and once again followed her family legacy".... It may be very possible that this happened but it would surely be ideal for a fic at the same time. 🤔🤔

It's amazing to see Sunny's mother. But it makes me wonder about Izzy, who's her family? Sunny had her mom and dad, Pipp and Zip have their mom, Hitch has his granny, and Misty now has Alphabittle as her dad. I originally thought that Alphabittle could be Izzy's uncle or something but that went out the window. But this episode is great either way.

I have a question Her rainbow streak in her mane was there since childhood And her mom has a similar one?
