This might be my favorite Faouzia song. I know it's overshadowed by her bigger hits and the production here is minimal, but I just love how she sings this. It's so eerie and haunting. Like she pulls you into a dream state and enchants you, and annihilates you, and you love it. You nailed the pronunciation of her name, by the way. The last wife of my late grandfather in Morocco, she was named Faouzia, and some family members pronounced her name as faw-ZEEyah, although most said FAW-zeeyah. They're weird like that. Like, one of my nieces, some family members call her one name, but then others use a completely different name for her. She basically has two names. Some just gave her a second name, and everybody was fine with that. And that's actually more common (in Morocco) than you might think. Imagine you're Josh, but then your aunt decides that she's going to call you Cliff, and now different people in your family and neighborhood call you by a different name, lol. Anyway, great reaction!
