At least as Czech I can tell and according what you see and hear in french films it's not just us Czechs ;) So yeah, seeing french crowd singing german is kinda funny! :D And no worries, I do love to hear and sing Rammstein song Deutchland even though we have verry rich 'history' with that 'so jung und noch zu alt' nation ;) And than again - if you are from Deutchland - it's ok. Long time Rammstein fan here: I always find it amazing that people tend to pick "Du Hast" as their first song from this band. I mean, its interesting, but really, its FAR from being a masterpiece if compared to others (Mein Herz brennt, Sonne, Mein Teil, Deutschland, etc). I wish people would suggest streamers a wider variety so they could understand its not always the same old choice.

Theatricality and crowd control are two strong points of all Ramstain shows. The singer is a certified pyrotechnician, hence the heavy use of fireworks in their shows. 9:54 He fires in flare over the audience and "calls an airstrike." From the back 4 flares are fired toward the stage in response. Amazing.

This is a testament that music truly brings people together since a German band is playing to a hyped up and enthusiastic French crowd, if you know your history. Additionally, the whole band is certified to set off pyrotechnics, but the lead singer is _fully_ certified in the sense that he can position and make his own stuff.

Seen Rammstein live almost 10 times now, every time they blew me away. Year ago, I saw them in Tallinn, awesome show! This summer, in Helsinki, awesome show. Took my 12 yo son with me, got supreme spot on the field, dead centre, right at the fence to the VIP section. Was great to see my son on his first ever concert loving every minute of it. And he chose german to be his second foreign language after english, just because I introduced him to Rammstain when he were 8 or so.

German here: So I don't know if somebody already explained but if not, I'll try to do it for you. "Du hast" basically means "you have" that is correct. But if you don't know the second meaning, the "wedding part" later could confuse you. It is indeed like a monologue of a priest to a wedding cupple. He is asking them in summary "Do you wanna marry and love her? Also in good and bad times?" Than the singer responds with "Nein/NO!" And there we go to the double meaning of the "Du hast" part which now makes sense. "Du hast/You have" has in German the same pronuncing as "Du hasst/You hate". That closes the story. The lyrical I received a marriage application from someone but said "NEIN/NO" and therefore the lyrical I plays with the double meaning: "You, you hate me/you, you asked me (to marry you)" and I said "NO". Hope that helps for someone.

In 1999 I was 16 and saw Rammstein (if you can believe this) open for Limp Bizkit and Korn in Virginia Beach on the "Family Values Tour". The most incredible thing to me is that Rammstein did 45 minutes and by the time Bizkit took the stage, the crowd was spent and NOT having it. Most people either sat in their hands, left, or booed the Co-headliners. When Korn came LATE I'll add, Jonathan Davis threw a hissy fit after like 2 songs and the crowd just laughed at him and threw debris onto stage.

Keyboardist Flake Lorenz was bored to just stand there when his skills were not needed, so he thought it would be fun to excercise. He can change the speed of the treadmill according to the rythm of the song. It's not blood you see on the vocalist's arms, but fire retardant gel in case something goes wrong. He's a licensed pyrotechnician. Even if you're not into this genre, you won't be bored with the show!

Last year Rammstein toured through the USA, are you even aware of how long ago Du Hast was recorded? Like 1990. They are Heavy Metal . Everything you saw in the live performance they did live. The members of Rammstein are in their 50s. They have been together for many years. Their show is jaw dropping.

I was recently on Rammstein concert and when they shoot the flare gun, the things that come back are shot from these pylons that are erected in the audience and then the entire stage explodes. They use the pylons to disperse all kinds of stuff on the audience, including a thick black smoke, fly-shaped confetti or do a laser show that makes you trip balls. Totally #1 band in the world when it comes to a live performance.

Saw them in Chicago in 2022. One of the most visually stunning concerts I have ever been to. I was probably ~300 feet from the stage and could still feel the heat from the pyrotechnics. Also I happened to be standing right where they made a walking path for the band to get to their encore stage platform. Besides Ollie the bass player and Flake the keyboardist they all seemed smaller than I expected when I was 2 feet away from them lol.

Fun fact, German is one of the closest languages to English in sentence structure and vocabulary, so it's easier for native English speakers to grasp the meaning behind the language and vice versa. Du=You, hast/hasst=have/hate, mich=me. Also, "und ich hab nichts gesagt" und=and, ich=I, hab=have, nichts=nothing, gesagt=said (but I read it as "to say"), or, in a different English structure, "and I did not say anything." The other lyrics are wedding vows. At one point I always thought I heard, "Will you be her Valentine?" at some point. Which is awesome, because instinctively I knew what they were singing about, even though I didn't know the language. He actually says, "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet." Which is "Will you until Death do you part?"

When I went to see Rammstien in Texas I was in the "burn zone" and I WANTED IT THAT WAY. I packed burn gel and everything else because the first time in the 90's when this song came out I was in the "burn zone" and lost my eyebrows! Best fucking memory of a concert aside from the time I got into a brawl with a 6'2 man about 300lbs over a drum stick thrown by the drummer of my favorite grunge band in '96. I broke 3 ribs, cracked my sternum, got a grade 2 concussion, screamed so loud I couldn't talk for 1 month but I STILL HAVE THAT FUCKING DRUM STICK.🤘😊

I'm 60 and still like Rammstein. I worked with a guy years ago that was good friends with the lead singer.. quite close. Rammsteins music , believe it or not , are typically 'love sons' in German . Giving it that reversed emotion charge. You have to translate the lyrics... RAMMSTEIN ROCKS ... Industrial metal and their concerts are an experience.

First : some of rammstein songs could mabey for some people, in the rock/Metall groups more, count as love songs, but this one sure isnt and also i cant remeber many who would even be remotely near a love song, we germans have other music for that. And the other thing is, after all that has happenend i wouldnt tell so proudly of beeing on good terms with Lindemann. Dont know if its true, but that he took to many drugs in his life, is into young women and has a slight god complex, kind of is a thing 😅

Rammstein also was in xXx (the first one) singing "Feuer Frei" (fire freely). Years ago when "Sehensucht" came out Chicago wasn't going to let them perform due to the pyro show they have.

Industrial metal has been around for decades, give Ministry a listen. They released their first album in the early 80s as a synth-pop group but evolved into an industrial metal band in the late 80s.

Saw them a year ago in San Antonio... they brought their entire show. You could feel the fire from the cheap seats. The only thing added in the edit: the lightning, and they enhanced some of the explosions. They put on an INCREDIBLE show.

They played in Brussels Heysel stadium, over 40000 seats, three days in a row in 2023. It was originally only planned to be one day but the concert sold out in minutes. I was able to get tickets for a second day that was added due to the overwhelming interest while already ready on the website to get tickets for day one in advance. Eventually they added a third day after the second concert was also sold out the same day it was announced. Spoiler: the concert was awesome. It was in the pouring rain and nobody left.
