My personal opinion: I adore this, i hope she makes a stripped version. I feel like the stripped versions always show the true emotions of the songs she writes. This song sounds kinda pop but i know the lyrics are written out of worry and fear of falling for the wrong person then blaming herself for not knowing better later. I love how it’s eye opening, when we’re in love we think everything is rainbows and glitter, but it’s actually not. Everybody’s got two sides and we need to accept that, i feel like thats what she meant by saying “but if i were to save you, would you do the same?” it’s like she’s telling them that they gotta handle each other bc they both have flaws and they’re not perfect, but together they would be imperfectly perfect.
