My personal Glen support plan: when his old videos pop up in the feed, I pop em on, hit like, and send Mrs. Fricker a get well message in the comments.

The cool thing about this is that you'll get more of his videos popping up in your feed, which is exactly what the algorithm wants.

I can finally die happy, as I’ve made it onto a Fluff video 🪦 Thanks for your response about the tone-wood! I’ve always thought it was funny hearing people argue about tone-wood from artists running through 30k in electronics. I’ve always thought the density would have to affect some sort of resonance, but I would imagine to the “average” player it wouldn’t be noticeable.

glennnnn is already on another tab running the entire channel!! but @ 7:37 i have to make a little noise.. but you can really hear the difference between a 'fender jazz' and an Alembic anything both acoustically and electrically..... i DO know that the proper set of woods increases sustain by being well glued, carved and thin finishes.. also, if you'd care to comment: "Neck Through vs. Bolt-on necks" i have felt the difference between a run of the mill strat, new off the rack, and compare that to a "Tone wood/ hippie sandwich" Instruments like alembic , higher end ESP, and older instruments like The Ibanez Musician series, Aria Pro II RS-750 and the odd custom built by a local luthier...

So disappointing seeing all the hate thrown towards Glen in KDHs channel comments. KDH didn’t hate on Glen, just pointed out some errors, which is totally valid. But the comments are just tearing Glen to shreds. The dude does his absolute best to help us all sound better. Long Live the Fricker Family 🤘🤘

I remember when Pearl Jam's Vitology album came out, they did a vinyl release of it as well. That seemed to be the start of the big vinyl comeback where people started buying turntables again and bands started doing vinyl pressings of their albums again and re-releasing older ones to cash in on the hype. I got nothing against vinyl. I've got a few LPs laying around and a cheap turntable. I've got tons of fond memories of listening to my dad's vinyl copies of stuff like Meddle and The Beatles, Diary of A Madman, and Up In Smoke (Paper was no longer available by the time I inherited the album.) on the record player with my friends. My dad was all in too. Diamond tipped needles and blah blah blah. I guess I just find it funny that a lot of the vinyl people talk about the analog purity of them, but when you read the cover, or dust cover, it says how it was digitally recorded and mastered somewhere. There are of course exceptions, but since Sony came out with digital recording in the late 60's / early 70's (I can't remember exactly when OTTOMH.) digital recording has been the preferred method of professionals in the recording industry. Dealing with tape, for anything just sucks. It's expensive. East to damage. And time consuming. We used to use tape backups for our computer system when I was a kid and we always made 2, because it was common for at least 1 tape in the batch to be bad, or get corrupted in some way. (Most likely loud music vibrating the tape heads while "recording." LOL) I'm setting up my Glenn playlist now. This is a stark reminder that these people we consume as content are in fact actual people as well. Except Fluff ;) He's just a commodity for us to pass around. LOLOL JK 😛 We love you Fluffster. Always look forward to Redik Reverbs.

Hey Fluff! Can some of you creator guys take turns making content that can be uploaded to Glenn’s channel? Watching old content helps some, as Glenn asked us to do, but we all know new content is what KZbin prioritizes. Maybe you guys can band together and take turns making long-form vids and short form clips? I keep trying to post this suggestion hoping one of you will see it, and then get some of the creators together. I’m sure no matter what you guys make to upload onto Glenn’s channel, people will watch it and comment as usual. I think keeping new content going on a similar upload schedule will be the best way to keep Glenn’s channel from falling flat on its ass. Glenn deserves this sort of effort from his fellow content creators so he can truly be there for his wife and not have to worry about his channel and income. Hope you guys can make this happen for Glenn!

I know the tone wood debate has been done a bunch, and I understand the science logically and agree with it, however, when I changed the neck on one of my strats from a rosewood to a maple, the attack and brightness of the guitar definitive changed. I don't know how to explain it other than the difference in woods. I understand how pickups work, and the fact that 99% of tone is in the pickups. I get that. Doesn't change the fact that switching the neck on that strat changed it's sound, and the only difference is the type of wood. Same gauge strings, same pickups, same scale length, same everything: different tone. Who can explain it?
@JakeTerchКүн бұрын
How the truss rod was set on the maple could’ve been different to the rosewood

Wrong. Tone Wood does matter. You can build the exact same guitar with the exact same parts made from the exact same metal with the exact same pickups and you could do all the frequency checks of pickups to make sure they were close as possible with the other set. and put them in the guitar say made of mahongany and the other made of basswood or alder. and you will be able to hear a difference same with fretboard. Maple sound different from rosewood and ebony, But every part makes a difference in the tone of the guitar but since the tone woods the body and neck the biggest part of the instrument is the majority of the sound. Also the way the instrument is shaped ,and depends on if there is a belly cut, or deeper cutaway to get to higher frets, if it is strat or explorer or v shaped. even if it is one piece or multiple piece body and neck or if there is other woods like a flame maple top and back or if there is any weight release or if the instrument is semi hollow and the routing also effects the tone. But if you had everything exact on a mahogany guitar and a basswood guitar and you had the amp at the same settings for both guitars you can hear a noticeable difference. now you have to know what your looking for simply beginners, none musicians probably will not be able to hear the difference. But YES TONE WOOD Makes a major difference in the tone/sound of the instrument. There is a good article in a old Guitar for the practicing musician magazine about tone woods.
@james-he7xvКүн бұрын
Tonewood only matters on a acoustic instrument , means nothing on a electric guitar.
