Shampoo/Conditioning
• REFRAIN FROM SHAMPOOING FOR 48 HOURS!
• REFRAIN FROM COLORING FOR 48 HOURS!
• Before shampooing hair, bush to separate extensions
• Wet hair and massage a small amount of shampoo in
the direction of natural hair growth
• DO NOT massage hair in a circular motion. This will
result in snarling and/or tangling of hair
• DO NOT use volumizing or clarifying shampoos!
This will open the cuticle layer and cause matting.
NO NOIXCIN SHAMPOO!!! No oil treatments at the
tape!!! Oil is the culprit! It can break down the tape
• Rinse out shampoo
• Apply conditioner Mid-Shaft down to ends, AWAY
FROM THE TAPE. Rinse conditioner
• DO NOT rub or wrap hair in a towel. THis can result
in tangling. Make sure to PAT & SQUEEZE DRY HAIR.
DO NOT RUB! Apply a leave-in conditioner (AWAY
FROM THE TAPE)
• It is important to DEEP condition your hair extensions
at least 1 time a week with a salon grade product.
Styling
• Apply heat protector or leave-in conditioner before
styling
• Blow dry hair using your hands until 90% dry. Use a
100% boar bristle/nylon brush or wet brush. Avoid
too much heat on the tape, cold dry at the tape area.
• When flat ironing or using a curling rod, us a thermal
protector. Keep away (2”-3”) from tape. Heat can
compromise the integrity of the tape.
• Mousse and other smoothing products are OK to
use!
• Use alcohol-free product as using Alcohol will
result in drying out the hair and can compromise
the tape strip.
• Brush your hair periodically throughout the day
• NEVER put hair up when wet and style in a messy
bun.
Swimming
• Pull hair gently into a braid or ponytail
• Always shampoo and condition afterward
• Dry and style as normal
Sleeping
• Never sleep with your hair wet
• Braid or loose pony tail is recommended.
Other Information:
• Thicken It’s In’Between dry shampoo is MANDITORY!
If the tape becomes slightly sticky, shake a
small amount on top and bottom of the tape.
• Braid or secure hair in a pony tail before going
into excessive wind, brush thoroughly after.
• Proper care is essential to maintain the integrity
and longevity of the extensions.
