@footwinner1 Жыл бұрын
@user-jr3ff4ii9x it’s for the best. You can’t spend your life feeling everything like a teenager would. Being young provides you with a chance to make all those lifelong impressions, then you move to a more managed state in adulthood.
@footwinner1 Жыл бұрын
@user-jr3ff4ii9x i agree to an extent, but I’m only speaking about how we progress through life emotionally as humans. I don’t mean to comment on a societal trend. I think the shallowness is the main issue. Songs are shorter than ever. Videos are shorter than ever. People don’t read very much. There’s a lack of long form engagement and that relates to emotional literacy and being able to know oneself and operate outside of the echo chamber you mention.

Hazel Lyrics [Verse 1] After a while, she walks in to the room The pockets, of her jacket filled with glue Into which she's stuffed her fingers I'm stuck We all get sometimes And then she smiles, but I just can't read her mind Sometimes, her smile doesn't reach her eyes And I'm trying to say sorry Don't lie, we all lie sometimes But not now [Chorus] I change my outfit everyday I say those things that I think you would like to hear me say I do things I normally wouldn't do, just to make you let me spend a while with you Silly silly silly silly me [Verse 2] She lights a fag, and sits down on the floor Her face, buried in that mass of hair God, I thought I knew her color... I don't, I don't know nothing So I look up, but it looks like she has left Worried, that she's gonna kill herself But she just went to the bathroom And I laugh, we all laugh sometimes Just not now [Chorus] I change my outfit everyday I say those things that I think you would like to hear me say I do things I normally wouldn't do Just to make you let me spend a while with you Silly silly silly silly me [Instrumental Bridge] [Chorus] I change my outfit everyday I say those things that I think you would like to hear me say I do things I normally wouldn't do Just to make you let me spend a while with you [Chorus] I change my outfit everyday I say those things that I think you would like to hear me say I do things I normally wouldn't do Just to make you let me spend a while with you Silly silly silly silly me

prob would say stuff like early Get Up Kids, Julia, Hoover, (maybe Indian Summer if you're cool with screaming/yelling), early Jimmy Eat World, Small Brown Bike, Cursive, Joyce Manor, Still Life, or early Shotmaker, imo emo (the 90s hardcore kind (midwest and emo-pop are cool too but that early shit rocks)) deserves way more than being just "angry music for teenagers"
