Thanks Shae! Awesome to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks for encouraging the wider adoption of roleplaying mechanics - it's definitely something we'd love to see other games try out in different contexts. I do want to say that we hear the feedback about the line art, loud and clear. The forthcoming reprint will address that issue, so the tokens will be easier to distinguish. The Federation can spend more on ink this time.

VERY happy you made this review. I loved your work on Eclipse and Twilight Imperium. It was MUCH easier learning how to play from watching Shea's videos. When I discovered Far Away I knew it was a must buy. It's a shame its not more well known yet. I hope this video can spread the word and Cherry Picked Games can get a nice expansion out soon!

I appreciate the review. I've come by 2 yrs later through another recommendation, and glad I found this. Mostly to avoid it, sadly. Overall, it looks visually unappealing to me. There's almost no art. There's not even a visual representation of the player--what is that player token anyway? Looks a bit like a bean. Throughout the gameplay, there wasn't anything to draw me into what was happening in the game. It kind of reminded me of those old text games.
