I think that image the dead person was holding in their hands was meant to be of our current protagonst, not the last game's protagonist. That one was a lot more red, and hooded, while this image looked like it had very similar hair to the current protagonist? Still not super sure what that would *mean* though. But I do like how initially entering the frozen car has warm, almost inviting lighting, but after you realise the person in there is frozen and dead, the lighting immediately becomes dull and grey, and the corpse becomes little more than a shadow in the darkness. As if the protagonist is trying to forget that they're there.
