I actually liked the demo of this game the best. I played that thing every night for a couple months maybe? It was compact, I could try to better and better each time I ran though. The actual game, though, wasn't that fun, because there was too much filler. If they tried to make a great game that was 1/3 of the size, that would have been better. Far Cry 3 is one of the only A+ games I've even played, back in 2012, and I liked it pretty well.

Water reflections are a bit off though, look for 1:34 for example. The water should reflect the shadowy cliff in the left, but it's white. Looks like it's an operating system issue because it works fine under Windows XP.

One of all time favorite games. First open FPS I played. At first I hated the fact that I could not save the game at any point, but it made me a far better player and added a lot more tension to the game. I challenge anyone to beat the game at the highest settings. There parts of the game that are so realistic that 1-2 shots and you are dead, and unrealistically hard where the NPC can see and hear you from over 100 yards away.

No mods are involved. This is the vanilla version from the Steam platform too. You might want to install the community patch www.moddb.com/mods/farcry-addon-mod-fcam/downloads/unofficial-farcry-patch-1505 to avoid these issues.

@4K VRAM goes to 3 GB... for 20 year old game... Power of Cryengine 1.. I was struggling to run this game at max settings with 6600 GT when this game got released

Depending on the game, VRAM scales with the resolution, especially in older titles. In newer ones, it's usually that the VRAM is used to fill it up with stuff, and higher or lower resolutions don't increase or decrease the VRAM usage. In these older games, it scales.

I'm not entirely sure about that. The game is from Steam and I assume it's version 1.4 with no additional mods or add-ons installed. Motion blur, even when enabled in other games, isn't noticeable on my 165 Hz screen.

Yep. Still no terrain in the reflections. Just vegetation. It's so weird to me that we've been seeing this bug since Windows Vista, through generation after generation of graphics hardware, and still nobody has discovered the root cause or how to fix it.
