Far Cry 3 handled the theme of violence so well and in such a unique way. It's a twisted coming-of-age tale. Jason Brody is lost in his life, he doesn't know who he is, but as we progress through the game, gunning people down, tearing their throats open, and just generally blowing shit up, all without remorse, he discovers who he is: a monster put on earth to spread death and destruction. The game is fun because Jason himself is having fun. It's honestly staggering to me how the creators combined the bombastic gameplay and the heavy narrative themes in such perfect harmony. The story supports the gameplay, and the gameplay supports the story. I always liked Jason and couldn't understand the hate he got when I was younger, but I still liked Vaas more. Now that I'm older, I realise that Jason is the most important piece. Jason _is_ Far Cry 3.

When Denis told me (lied to me) that Hoyt was the one who made Vass go coo coo crazy: So that Hoyt Guy was the one Playing with Vass all the time When Vass started talking about how he tried to do everything for Citra and than she told him that he was the ultimate warrior and he had to choice either His Life or Citra and the Rakyat's Crazy Goals: So you decided to survive and betray your sister and she was the one who drove you insane? Wait, I thought Denis and Citra told me that Hoyt was the one who Actually Drove you insane, Were they lying to me or am i missing something? Before killing Vass: Wait, I mustn't trust Citra? Ok, I don't like her anyway After killing Vass: How the hell did i ended up here? (Seconds later) I killed your own brother and you didn't even shed one tear, you're so cold After saving Riley and going to Doctor. E Mansion: What in hell happened here? After hearing the Doc's last words: He... died? The warriors took my friends? Citra and those Fuckers better have a good explanation for this When i found Citra: There you are you fucking Bitch When the Warriors took Riley: Leave him alone you fuckers After Citra used her Sleeping sand thingy: You fucking... You are helping me? You'll need help after i wake up After Citra Told me she loves me: I fucking hate you After waking up from Citra's dream thingy: What the... Join citra, Save your Friends... I replace Vass as the Ultimate Warrior and do the thing with the fucking Bitch... Okay, I could write essays on this song alone. Listening to it makes me emotional from the music alone. The feel of it as well as all the other soundtracks from the game are engraved into my mind. Every time I hear them I have a feeling of beautiful nostalgia. Far cry 3 I got when I was 14 and it changed everything. Before it, my perception of games was very small. I opened the game a snowy Christmas morning and thought the cover looked cool. Later when I got the gameplay, I was surprised at how likeable the characters were. And when I saw how the game was open world, with the freedom to take any battle any way you could want I was sold. Although at the time I was unaware of the impact the game would leave on me. On who I am. The scene where you are going to kill Vaas, walking down a path of malfunctioning televisions and having hallucinations of Vaas words all while having this song playing over has stayed with me. It fit so well, felt so gratifying. After killing him the song dying down made you feel like you wanted to just think about your life. Even though the threat of Hoyt still loomed on the Horizon just knowing that you had put Vaas to rest made you feel peace. Like a long battle of insanity was over. It felt like you won... This goes for all the music. Bryan Tyler has outdone himself with it. I can't explain why but it all flowed with the setting and the moments perfectly. All the songs had their place and their meaning. I wish I could go back because no game has ever made me feel this way. I'm not gonna say it's the best game ever but I'd be lying if I didn't say it was one of my favourites. The soundtrack is definitely number one. In the save your friends ending, when they ride off on that boat and the music kicks in I felt like I did escape the island. It was triumphant but with a heavy weight to it. Jason would never be the same, his friends would never be the same, rook island would never be the same. While the new games revised features and added many things they just never captured the unique feel of far cry 3. Far cry 3 just felt like the definitive far cry. Although I may one day stop playing, I will never forget. I'm currently playing through far cry 3 classic on PS4, and I got it from the far cry 5 season pass. I haven't installed far cry 5 yet, I felt like I needed to go back and platinum #3 to feel like I finally completed it, all relics all loot every buyable item and every data entry. The satisfaction will be glorious Damn... I didn't expect to write this much. Kinda just let me mind go and fingers fly. Thank you Ubisoft, thank you Brian Tyler

So naive,so eager to play,so lost in game's reality and now ...I am.....'More than that, better than that' Note.- The game seriously affects your mentality, your perception of things, what is right and what feels pleasure in doing so even if it were wrong..But if you do manage to get lost in the woods, find your way home by finishing the story!!!!🖤🖤

This soundtrack has a thing to it. Especially this particular one. Those sounds travel through one side of your brain to another, you can... Feel the insanity. Feel the madness. Ultimately understand what makes no sense whatsoever. Brian Tyler is a true genius and was able to capture the game's atmosphere so well and did such and outstanding job on the soundtrack. Far Cry 3 is easily one of my top 10 best video games that I have ever played in my life. An amazing experience and for me, a life changing one. I want to thank every single person involved in the making of Far Cry 3 and especially, Brian Tyler. From the bottom of my heart. Video games are art, and Far Cry 3 is a perfect example of it. "Who are you Jason? What kind of man are you?" "The world is on a diagonal, I am the balancing point." You see, you listen, you feel it. My love for this game is alive until the day I stop breathing.

I think this Far Cry was the darkest one with an actual amazing story. acting and music, just fits and felt so well done, this is by far the most amount of work Ubisoft has ever done in a game Vaas tells Jason the definition of Insanity is doing something over and over again, Vaas used to be a normal guy, he then became insane and psycho, exactly what happens to Jason, he becomes insane after doing the same thing over and over again, which is killing, Some people might say the ending was trash, but it was actually the most fitting ending in my opinion, especially the part where he says: "I've killed so many people I've lost count. I can't come back from this. I'm a monster. I can feel the anger inside me. But I am still, somewhere inside me. More than that. Better than that."

far cry 3 the best game of all time (the last of us 2nd). beautiful, the feeling of freedom, incredible soundtrack. the emotions felt by playing far cry are engraved in me forever. far cry 4 is very good but lacks the emotions of far cry 3. in far cry 4 there are no tips for Evolution as in far cry 3 . in fc3 one begins with a shy young man, we finished with a fearless warrior. his behavior with his friends and his girlfriend changes. and pagan was disquieting, Vaas was terrifying. you know the definition of insanity ...?

The story lines of these two games are trying to portray two completly different themes. Jason's story is of a man who, besides saving his friends/siblings/girlfriend, needs to find out who he really is, what his role in this world really is and what he wants to do with his life meaningfully. Ajay's story is of a man who returns to the country of his birth, being pulled in a conflict he knows nothing about. That ignorance is what Sabal, Amita and Pagan want to use to bring him over to their side. Ajay's growth is set in these two choices : fulfill the wish of his dead father, who he never knew nor his patriarchical and selfish reasons for fighting Pagan or fulfill the wish of your dead mother, who wants you to learn everything about your origin and then decide what Kyrat you wish to save and what side you will take in the war, where neither side is good at all. Although, between the Golden Path and Pagan, Pagan is the lesser evil. So you can't really say one's story is better than the other imo. What I can agree on is that both of these games are phenomenal! Both are in the list of my favorite games. :-)

@brianbedell43796 жыл бұрын
I agree but far cry 4 is a little better because of the graphics and the guns and the gameplay. But far cry 3 is more memorble. So if Ubisoft makes a remastering of far cry 3 with better graphics, better sound affects, better voice acting, I think it would be champion again.
