Far Cry 3: How to Liberate an Outpost Undetected the easy way

My guide for liberating an outpost undetected in Far Cry 3 so you gain 1500XP the easy way!
This applies to the second Island only as you dont get access to the Z93 sniper rifle until then and also on the second island you generally have high up vantage points next to most outposts

@@shubhamkaudewar7297 Interesting way to do that. Super confusing though. Anyway I want to point out that it is entirely possible to do stealth on the outposts in the first island using the M-700 with similar attachments since the other one is not accessible yet. (Although I prefer the M-700 Predator that comes with having the Deluxe Edition of the game from getting the Far Cry 5 Season Pass on Steam.) It doesn't kill heavys in one headshot, but you can take them out up close (and still miraculously undetected) using grenades, or a grenade launcher. It takes two grenades to kill a heavy on the normal difficulty, and it helps to cook them the right time for them to go off nearly on contact if you're throwing them. (This game is really loose with the term "undetected".) It's also completely pointless to disable any alarms if you're 100% dedicated to completing it in stealth because the shot on the alarm makes them move around a bit and more difficult to hit than they need to be and they only set it off if they actually spot you. You can also save the game at any time you're not in a mission, and at any location, however the game does kinda pick it's own location to spawn you after loading the save if near an outpost, so keep in mind that saving at your preferred location near an outpost may not necessarily put you where you want it to if you need to reload. Also to reload a save, just quit to the main menu, then either hit "continue" or load a specific save (either auto or manual).

it's a good and effective way, but after liberating 10 camps in this way, it gets rather boring. makes you want to really ENTER the camp and place mines and perform takedowns and whatnot. Hurray for takedowns.

I use this method but many camps dont have THAT convenient spot above the camp,so mines can clear leaking enemies,especially fucking dogs... God forgive me,i hate dogs more than pirates who tortured my friends

Some of the posts have caged tigers and U can use a Sniper Rifle(from a high point) to shoot at the tiger which will then get released and eat up all the bad guys.The post is liberated and U go and kill the tiger.I tried this and it worked.

Concerned Geek well, technically u can. but it must be headshots or u will risk them surviving. for heavies, it must be their back of the head. i collected 18 skill points this way even bfor meeting citra.

It takes me 10 minutes to liberate each outpost and to do it undetected. First up I crouch around the area with the camera making sure I am at least 100 meters away from the outpost, zoom the camera in on the targets I can see. I get in closer and use the camera to find the others if I only see 3 to 4 targets since each outpost has the bare minimum of 5 targets and sneak around so I can locate the alarm's position. I fall back 80 to 100 meters to a position looking down on the outpost and make sure I take out the alarm first, always got to make sure no enemy is near the alarm when you go to snipe it. I always put my skill points towards holding breathe to aide in gaining better accuracy and only fire at a target that's out of the line of sight of his friends. I ensure I target the next one that's out of the line of sight of the next target and only fire when the target is 20 to 30 meters away from the other. I then follow the same process with each target until the outpost is liberated. I mainly used the M-700 with the silencer and optical scope, it does a pretty darned good job when you know how to use it.

the only problem about second island's outposts os that caged animals now aren't enough to kill even 2 soldiers, they get killed much faster. It was so funny to see a tiger eat alive those pirates and then kill the rakiats.

Not effective against Privateers if you aim at the torso. It also performs bad at heavy gunners due to the head being covered more efficient than the pirate heavies.
