Far Cry 3 - Where Is My Loot Chest???

This chest is SPECIFICALLY unlocked when you complete a DLC mission involved Hurk. When you complete the first mission with him and his monkeys, he tells you the location of his "loot stash" and it is THIS very loot crate, and it will then appear...and your completionist minds can be satisfied.

3 years later i can’t confirm at the moment but…did they remove all DLC and Online modes from Farcry 3?? and doesn’t the PS4 remaster not include DLC? making this chest now…literally impossible to obtain?

I'm having the same problem. Spent hours collecting all the loot and collectables on island 1 and this is the only one that I can't get after all that time wasted

I found out how to get the chest. You need to do the dirty diamond's mission for hurk at the end he will tell you to stash the diamond in the chest and receive a reward from the chest.

But it's indeed irritating that loot chests are ALWAYS displayed on the world map AND the mini map, while free cash is sometimes shown on neither one and other times shown on the world map only.

They're not always above ground. Sometimes they're in caves on the island

Have the same problem, really annoying! I think it happens with everyone, even for those who don't have the ULC pack, so we can't get the location removed from our maps :( hope Ubisoft can remove this location...or release the ULC pack soon so we can play the extra missions and get the loot chest :D

@efeorh: "sometimes just air/nothing appears as loot chest" - This is not true! Whenever a diamond symbol is shown on the world map and/or the mini map, there's something there to collect - either a chest or money. Sometimes it's in a cave; sometimes it's in a place you'll get access to later in the game; sometimes you'll only have access to this place for a very short time period or in the contect of a special mission - but it's always something there!

It did appear for me eventually after I did a mission. I don't remember which one (probably not main story), but it seemed to trigger a spawn. The one at X:295, Y:365 is a worse bug. The chest is there but it's not possible do do anything with it. The loot button doesn't appear.

You can't re-play the mission again, to do that you have to start a new game

Anyway, Why ULC pack indicate on the my map, which I do not have? I bought a treasure map into ingame weaponshop - so show only of her. It is not logical to show all, isn't it?

I had that problem as well. I believe the chest is below the ground and we can only get it near the end of a Buck mission where we have to keep searching for that bloody knife that Buck can shove right up his arse. Anyway, at the end of one of the missions it ends at that location where we have to swim up and up and up. I have no idea why because that water is really a foot deep. I'm trying to get the loot chests around a giant well sort of thing that has something like a 150 foot drop. It's location is at the top middle of the map where one of the relics is. I went in a cave looking for the loot chests and I can't find them anywhere. When you look at the location on the map, the chests are together facing 1 o'clock. It's a bloody pain in the arse searching for these chests.

Hey, so that chest appears when you complete the first Hurk mission in Farcry 3, which I believe is a DLC expansion that gives you a handful of extra missions that appear on the map. Once you complete the first one, Hurk tells you the location of that chest and it'll be there for you, its his "secret stash"

You are right, only those diamond symbols should be shown on the map, that are actually accessible by anyone, and not only by those who own a special DLC (or ULC in this case). I generally don't like all this pre-order bonus/DLC/ULC bs, because it often gives you the feeling of buying half the game at full price - and the so called "Free To Play" design is even one step worse! Sell a full game. Sell one add-on, perhaps a second. Stop. Is it really that difficult?

I hate this in the game. I've come across multiple locations where the map says there's a chest, but there's not. And don't say it's underground. I've looked, most of the time there's no underground to get to where I am. People keep saying that the chests are either from a DLC, or from missions. And they're only there at certain times. Then why the fuck is it on the map for the entire game? It just makes people search for nothing. And waste time.

TXF some chest symbols are just money laying around, not actual chests. It's Irritating that ubi used the same symbol, expecially because this money spawns randomly.

This chest doesn't actually exist in the game But it exists if you have the Deluxe Edition DLC In that DLC there's a mission called “Dirty Diamonds” When you complete that mission, the chest will appear as a “reward” for doing the mission But if you don't have the DLC/didn't complete the mission, the chest won't appear

This is the only chest that doesn't actually exist in the game If there's any more chest that exists in the map but you can't see it, it might be underground
