My latest build video is LIVE. We take a look at how I built a little windy river to really bring some more of my outpost map to life! kzbin.info/www/bejne/n56lp2avqJWHhac

This is the best example that people don't need money as an incentive. People are creators, they love to build and create and share. They do it whether or not they get paid. sorry a bit off topic. Thanks for the great vid, can`t wait to try it out

I loved this video, you're the only one that would make a tutorial on something so niche and I appreciate that! I think the fog and lighting/sound can really come in useful in this map to enhance the realism. Looking forward to the next video.

Thanks for making that desert tutorial video, it’s helped me a ton with making a multi-outpost map that I’ve been working on. I split the map into 4 micro-biomes, so I have a desert outpost made of FC4 ruins, a jungle outpost suspended in the trees like an Ewok village, a forest lumber yard outpost, and an underground cave network with enemies hiding out in it :) P.S. I’d love to see a 20 minute Outpost build challenge on your channel, sounds like a lot of fun!

Woah this is so much detail for something that appears to be so simple. This sort of thing is the difference between an exceptional map and a mediocre map. Too be honest, it's this sort of thing that'd mean I would never actually stop working on a map. Honestly the more I see of Far Cry Arcade, the more I fall in love with it. I can't wait for next week's episode of Map Editor Magic (awesome name).

I like your map making video cause I don't own FC5, and I used to make maps back when cs 1.6 was relevant. The maps I made were always large with small combat areas, none were particulaly good, but I enjoyed playing with a friend against bots. Your videos reminds me of that time

I was thinking of doing something like this with the blood trail and all that, but after going through the forest you find a clearing with 3 abandoned cabins, where in one of them you find a womans body and then get attacked by a gang of melee enemies. I call it "Mary went Missing".

Tony Mo. hey man. seriously loving this content. i would really really REALLY like it if you continued this type of video series, showing how to make simple things more immersive and realistic, like trails, roads, houses, neighborhoods, bunkers, etc. the challenge builds really don't interest me a whole lot, but what does interest me is useful tips and tricks on how to make the maps even more immersive and real. that's what i would love to see more of. you got a sub from me, please consider my request.

Is it just me or should they just make a game like FarCry 5 Arcade but like a standalone game where the devs make maps and the community aswell and they add new objects, physics options. I know we have Gmod but like the devs support it with their own maps, community challenges, new objects and options etc. Honestly this would be a awesome game

I love map editors, even though I'm not the best I do pride myself on being able to make somewhat functional and fun maps in halo reach's forge and I find myself ocassionally going back to that game to polish up my previous work even if I don't publish and know that no-one will play it's still a good time. This mode has gotten me interested in a game that I would have otherwise completely avoided, still not completely sold on it but I'm defenitely interested in it. It makes me so happy to see map editors in more and more games and hopefully they'll become a staple of any self respecting triple A game.

If they add more gametypes and scripting it will be the best $60 editor available - still the terrain mechanics and object library are simply breathtaking

That's how I look at it, if it doesn't turn out as your vision, it always has potential to be something else. Check out Tiger Mountain. My first team death match map started as an assault but it took a life of its own and turned into tdm

I think you should hide that second surprise area with some bushes, so at the bottom you can almost see it, but after you walk through the bushes only then you can actually see whats there

I love the editor but I’ve gotta say it’s a pain trying to connect structures without having them clip. Maybe it’s just a controller issue but I wish there was an auto lock feature or something

I'd really like to make some decent maps, but I'm really struggling as I'm on console. If there is anyone out there who has mastered the editor on console, slide some tips and tricks my way! It's stupidly difficult to master and I think that Ubisoft maybe need to tweak the editor a little bit for us simpletons, but I have no idea how they'd be able to make it easier for us.

@Galactic_fart_sniffer6 жыл бұрын
how do u remove any vegetation. what keys to press? I'm on PC and I got a forest in my river :(
@MetalGamer6666 жыл бұрын
You can paint over the forest with grass, which removes the trees. But I do not know how to remove the grass :(
@Galactic_fart_sniffer6 жыл бұрын
+Metal Gamer ya I know. u can also remove the grass from the vegetation list. but I have all 10 used
@MetalGamer6666 жыл бұрын
So if you remove the grass from the list, you can add a new one in the same spot later, but all the grass will be gone from the map? That's a workaround, I guess. For now I will have to add grass as the last thing I do, and maybe make multiple saves of the same map without grass in case I want to change something later.
@Galactic_fart_sniffer6 жыл бұрын
+Metal Gamer ya. I meticulously placed all 10 forms of vegetation. grass being my last only to find out I got trees in the river. ((sighs)). guess I'll re do all the grass. rip me
