The animations are really impressive and the guns can even jam, but the gameplay itself is an absolute nightmare. A single example that should make you understand: The map is massive, you're given a car from the very beginning BUT you'll be constantly fighting enemies in mounted turrets while exploring who will always leave your car in a fatal state, not only that, you also have no real minimap, only an actual map that you have to physically look at while driving at 90mph that cover 95% of your screen or a GPS in the car that is so little you never realize where you are going that you end up looking at the actual map anyway, it's realistic yes, but painful in a game. Oh also the camera movement is Dead Rising 1 levels of camera.... Which was horrifying for aiming.

I personally loved spending time getting to a spot on foot, sneaking behind enemies with a machete and finishing them off, lobbing grenades and molotovs, creating total rucus. The fire spread physics was pretty amazing too, and the detail of the foliage too. I have a medium build PC, so I wasn't able to play this game on max gfx, but I am sure it will look better that way.

The old Far cry games were more gruesome, but lacked the reaction from the character like in Far cry 6. I mean, you can't just adjust your leg back to how it was, without screaming a little. But at the end of the day, they're just fun video games. Realism is not that important, what's important is that the player has fun or finds an engaging story.

A real doctor once reacted to one of the healing animations of the Far Cry series, and clearly said: "Yes, it isn't incorrect for the most things, the animator indeed knew a bit of the stuff. BUT it's most likely not possible to do it your own since 1: there is the pain which would block you to do it,- a single finger yes, but a whole leg, difficult. It can even make you fell unconcious by over restrained pain. 2: it's not that easy to do it correctly, the character must be a field doctor or alike. 3: no clean environment, no cleaning the wounds and bandadging them, it would get infected for sure. - Also he said, in FC2 you only can spit your teeth out 32 times then you got no teth left, besided he don't know why doing this would heal. xD
