FusionFarCry do you know where I could find the TV (motion picture from Eden's gate tv in the campaign) in the editor? I Know we can get it in our maps becouse I've seen it in other people's maps. in addition, don't put animations inside a MOVE to DEFEND zone. Move to Defend zones forces the AI RUN to the zone, and because they favor doing animations when possible, if an animation is in their Move to Defend zone, instead of running they'll walk to the animation. So don't put animations in your M2D zones. and just to clarify on animations and AI states, for an AI in a CAUTIOUS zone or just in a CAUTIOUS state after failing to find the threat, the AI will go do any available CAUTIOUS animations in the area. they can't do non-CAUTIOUS animations while CAUTIOUS. also, AI unsigned to a control zone can wonder anywhere they please - even into a control zone of another AI - and do those ANIMATIONS. And furthermore, it appears to me, once an AI acts on a CAUTIOUS animation point, they stay CAUTIOUS indefinitely even if relaxed animations points are available.

Quick question. Some of my AI will do the animations, others won't. Seems to be very random. If I put a Control Zone down, attach it to that character, sometimes they just stand in the control zone and don't move (and ignore the animations), but if I remove the Control Zone then they just aimlessly walk around and still ignore the animation. However, some other AI will wander the Control Zone AND use the animation points. Is there a way to connect an AI to an animation? I'm not entirely sure why this is happening. Or is this just a glitch?

@@carbonzl1994 yeah it depends on what the ai apperance is or how it acts in other words personalitie. There are diffrent ai's that have diffrent personalites and of course there apperance. For example, you cant make a resistance fighter to eat human corpse beacuse the ai isnt the particlaur targeted ai for the animation which is ment for the aslyum ai people.

All three types of control zones will force an assigned AI to move to its zone if they spawn outside of it. The way in which the AI move to their zones, depends on the type of control zone. DEFEND will have them walk casually. DEFEND CAUTIOUS will have them walk too, but they seem alert and have their weapons slightly raised. MOVE AND DEFEND is the only one that will have them run to their control zone. Also, regarding DEFEND and DEFEND CAUTIOUS: I don't know yet what happens during their walk towards their zone, if they spot the player or opposing AI. But I assume they will engage their foes and probably run to their destination. Something I didn't saw included in the video. ;)

@Bryn Bushey it’s basically a control zone that makes NPCs rush to it. For some reason when you connect friendly ai to them they become hostile idk why

Thanks. Respawning enemy AI was in Far Cry 4 but only in certain modes. Hopefully in a future update we can make them respawn.

Another thing, DON'T use Rush Points for Allies because they have a 90% chance of turning on you and attacking you.

Thank you so much. I just nought the game. I also got to say that finally over the past 6 years ive been waiting for a far cry map editor to use these cool features. Far cry 3 did not have animation points. Far cry 4 did have animation points but there was no indefently option. Aftrr performing the animation they would just wonder off. Looks like ubisoft far cry has heard us creators what we want. For that I clap to ubisoft for making my dream come true and also to you aswell pal for showing me these cool tricks.now i can make cool john wick, cod remake missions, and cool muiltyplayer maps. Another great video from your channel thanks! Could you do a detailed video on animation? I know you said its very simple but i can't always get the results intended. I place them and the enemy doesn't always perform them. I was starting to think that the enemy will walk to it if its in their line of site. Or if its within proximity of an enemy will they turn and walk toward it then perform the animation? I've placed an enemy and started the map and the npc will turn and walk away before walking into the animation point.

I’m having problems with the animation points. When I place them nothing happens. For example I was making a hostage scenario with two chosen’s and a civilians. I put the enemy hostage animations points and the ally sit animation point.

I have had control zones change numbers randomly. Not sure if it happened because i set another down or pair A.I. with it but it went from like 337 to 95. AI in zone appeared to still be paired to it but any idea as to why that happen?

How do you select control zones after they are placed in the level (on PC)? The selection mechanics are extremely finicky and unreliable by default, it's to the point that the blue zone box will only be selected 1 out of 20 times I try...I have enabled object helpers and icons in the editor settings, but it doesn't help much for these boxes.

Just went back to this hame after a few years. Can you have friendly AI spawn in via a trigger? Say I need to go from point a to b. But don't want AI spawning until I get their. Or maybe not spawn at all. Is this possible

I'm struggling with a map right now. For some reason my A.I. don't respond to anything. Wave one works great but the glitches happen in wave two and so on. My enemies will spawn and just stand there. You can walk through them. I feel like my map is broken as its unplayable.

Mine isn't working. Adding in a control zone only adds the box with yellow borders and you can't see the blue. Once they've been placed, it disappears and doesn't do anything.

question...since animals "yeti" is not an "enemy" how can you make it attack? I use pc and sometimes the yetis just stand there with or without a control zone...am I just missing something??

Some animations only work for certain NPC's. Make sure the animation points you're using are under the "Allies" category in the menu

You seem to be using the "Explore" mode, what you need to do is use is the "Play" mode. In Explore mode you are basically invisible to them and you will spawn in where your camera is actually at. Hope this helps.
