These videos are so useful! I make maps on PS4, mainly military, survival, and police things, and the lights and animations are making my maps look so much better!

You can make the best map ever. But it will just never be played cuz of how featuring works. Man... They need to make it so that the voting map screen consists of maps rated by 50 players or more that are rated 3.5/5 stars or more. Therefore you aren't playing bad maps but you are playing something other than FARM CRY or TOYS ROOM

Yeah I keep seeing the same 5 star maps with 10 enemies and no textures or extreme detail and 60k plays. Then I play some insanely detailed 3 star maps that have been played 60 times.

I made a dogfight map called Belgian Skies on Xbox. It’s pvp tho, and it was done in the first week of the game so it’s probably trash. I have another map called End Days if you wanna check that out, I’m still improving it though.

Great vid. My only suggestion is that you didn't really get into the min/max slope slider for the paint tool. This is really great for making natural looking mountains or cliffs. If you would have set a min slope of 30-50 on the hills and mountains when you painted the rock it would have only painted on the parts that are more vertical and left the flatter areas with grass. It makes it look like rock is coming out of the ground while grass is settling on the even parts. I did this with my Escape Europa PC map with snow as the default and ice coming up thru it on the higher sloped areas. I used the erosion tool to make the slopes more jagged before I painted them.
@Eastonfection6 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The constraint sliders are very handy for quickly painting a large area and they can allow you to blend textures more consistently than doing in manually.

Awww man! I thought I was good, but you taught me a lot. Now, I’m gonna use the info from this vid for my Afghan map. The Mao Editor in Far Cry 5 was a lot better than what we got in Far Cry 4.

I have mentioned this more than once already, the perimeter of the editor specifically the first two blue tiles, do not render textures once the map is published, that's why people publish maps with what looks like unfinished texturing, please don't use those two first grids around the perimeter.

You should make themed map showcases for ones that you make.... if that makes sense. Like Mad Max, or a map in a Vigilante-style city. Cause these maps are amazing. Look better than the main game XD
