I remember hearing this for the first time at the Dallas Christmas concert in 2018. I was listening in awe and then the bagpipes came in from behind. I thought my heart was going to leave my chest with the joy I felt. Music from MCO truly moves me.

This is one of my absolute favorite MCO Christmas pieces to sing. When you are singing with the choir and the amazing orchestra, the spirit there is so strong.

Lyrics: 1. Far, far away on Judea’s plains, Shepherds of old heard the joyous strains: Refrain Glory to God, glory to God, Glory to God in the highest; Peace on earth, good will to men; Peace on earth, good will to men. 2. Sweet are these strains of redeeming love, Message of mercy from Heaven above: [Refrain] 3. Lord, with the angels we too would rejoice; Help us to sing with the heart and voice: [Refrain] 4. Hasten the time when, from every clime, Men shall unite in the strains sublime: [Refrain]

Another amazing piece composed and performed inviting the world to give “Glory to God.” It is through this group I have felt closer to our Lord and a Savior, Jesus Christ, and has inspired peace. Thank you!

This song was created by a “Mormon” (member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) immigrant from Scotland in the late 1800s, he woke up one night with the inspiration for the song. Yes members of this Church of Jesus Christ 100% believe in Christ as the only Savior of the world, only through Him we can be saved

Mormons/LDS do not believe Jesus was TGE ONLY BEGOTELTEN of the Father, and they believe Satan was Jesus' brother, etc. Theologically, they are NOT THE SAME as Christiians. They have 2 add'l books they follow OVER the Bible: The Pearl of Great Price and the Book of Mormon. Both contradict the Bible quite drastically. You cannot believe in books that CONTRADUCT the Bible and still be considered a bona fide Christian. All that aside, this group tends to produce some extremely good quality music! Thoroughly impressed with that aspect, but I do NOT confuse LDS/Mormons with actual Christianity. It appears they choose their songs with lyrics tgat have wide appeal and won't offend mainstream Christians... which is great and a strong start to maybe sincerely challenging the unbiblical doctrine for those that wish to be saved. Anyone can believe/think as they wish, but it is ONLY through a Biblical understanding of who Christ was that we can know Him, which is the basis of salvation: a relationship with Christ Himself, who is the OY way to the Father, and who is THE WAY, THE TRUTH. AND THE LIFE. (Not "ONE OF" THE WAYS, TRUTHS, AND LIFES!) Still, I just enjoy listening to the beautiful music.

@@Nate.packer15 You must not care about that which is RIGHT. STRAIGHT AND NARROW is the path to eternal life; wide and broad is the path to destruction. To each his own. Choose which doctrine you wish to follow, it is NOT a trite thing to discern.

@@drileydriley2814 You are incorrect, Jesus Christ IS the only begotten Son of the Father in LDS theology. And yes, thankfully God has revealed more of His word, and we do believe in the Bible as well as God’s word that he gave to other of His children.
@drileydriley2814 Жыл бұрын
@@Mike-nq7fn The Bible IS the Word, Jesus IS the Word; syllogistically, that means Jesus IS the Bible. Jesus is complete, and there is no "Bible 2.0"! The Book of Mormon is read, understood, and used more than the Bible for LDS believers, as is The Pearl of Great Price. If there are ANY "revelations" nowadays, all of them and everything about them MUST vomport with the Bible in order to remain TRYE and VALID. By accepting contrary opinions as "revelations" is how we ended up with Jehovah's Witness, LDS, 7th Day Adventists, etc. JESUS is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Not "ONE of the ways, one of the truths, and one of the lifes." My truth and your truth don't matter, it's HIS Truth that matters, which is THE Truth!

So glad that you were able to hear us at Restore and then come to our concert! ❤ I first heard of MCO when I saw the viral video of them singing in the street outside Carnegie during the NYC blackout. I was so touched by what I saw and heard that I ended up auditioning and joining the choir myself, and I've been singing with the Grand Chorus ever since! These arrangements that the Stewarts compose are truly spiritual masterpieces that just blast you with the Spirit! 🥰 I hope you'll continue to join us for future concerts! ❤
