Someone turned up in a taxi, went into a dance school, brutally murdered 3 children and critically injured 8 others (mainly children). The police decide to put a lid on the media, announce that the suspect is under age so that they can provide no info on the motive and then declare that it was not a terrorist incident. Not a terrorist incident! Multiple children were slaughtered or severely injured - of course it was terrorism. And this was not long after a soldier in Kent was attacked from behind and stabbed multiple times. This sort of thing just keeps on happening. Many of the public experience the terror themselves whether first hand or via family/friends and they know damn well they are being fobbed of by the authorities and they can see that the media are providing minimal coverage. The police and the media want to move on from these horrifying events as quickly as possible but the public are desperate for information. The public want to be assured that the authorities are going to bring the perps to justice and that they are not downgrading terrorist attacks. Justice must be seen to be done. The rioting seen at Southport was inevitable. The answer is not to call for more censorship as this fool Ellwood is doing, it's to be more open. Have regular public briefings by the police and the government until ALL the truth comes out. The PM should have spoken to the public when he visited - it looked like he just turned up, read his prepared speech, placed some flowers and then left asap.
