The rot set in during the late sixties and early seventies with the replacement of grammar schools with "comprehensive" education and inferior teaching standards. When grammar school education was available to many who could demonstrate that they would benefit from it, many of them were selected, on merit, for university education at Oxford, Cambridge and (then) many other good universities. Hence, since then, not only has indoctrination in political beliefs become widespread but social mobility has been greatly reduced. This suits the Labour party to a tee, however. It was never in its interests for great numbers of intelligent children from a less privileged background to succeed in life and become less likely to vote Labour.

My dad was part of the BEF and was evacuated at Dunkirk he later went on to serve in Burma in reconnaissance to the Royal Armoured Cor. I asked him why did he join up in 1939 and go to war. I am proud to be British and I'm proud of our history. I am ashamed of Two Tier Keir and his merry bunch of Communists, and even more ashamed of their actions. Thankfully Starmer isn't what Britain stands for, he got into power through those who stayed home rather than voting, so in effect the disillusioned Tories who refused to vote are the very people who put Starmer in office.

Don't get your child involved in politics. Let him do his homework and then when he's old enough (when his brain has stopped growing) he can make up his own mind. You've seen what happened to Greta Thunberg. Classic case of parents living vicariously though their offspring who wind up having issues.
