This is our "Blowing in the Wind", meaning everyone who has 3 guitar lessons tries to play it :)) An absolut evergreen, a classic from the 70s, written and performed by Faramarz Aslani, the other gentleman who sings in the video. Few years ago he had a colaboration with Dariush, covering this with him and also recording a few new ones, touring together around the world. This is somewhat like Elton John and Rod Stewart doing an Album tohgether, but on national level. And yes, it is emotional :)

The song is from 1976 as composed and performed by Faramarz Aslani. Just one word regarding why Iranian pop songs based on guitar playing sound ' Spanish ' or ' Mexican '. The origins of the present day Guitar is based on the ancient Persian string instrument called Tar. Tar in Persian means string, surprise surprise. It is believed that when the Sassanid Persia fell to the Arabs over 1400 years ago, Arabs took quite a lot of what was culturally Persian and spread it to other places that eventually fell to them, music, architecture, culinary styles, etc were amongst those which were taken from Persia, and taken to, North Africa and part of Europe, in particular southern Spain, that was under Moorish rule for centuries. So it is actually Spanish Guitar music that sounds Persian and not vice versa. You can detect similarities between classical styles of Persian music and what is known as Gypsy Flamingo, both in singing and even dancing. Those historians who were not biased, called Persia ' the cradle of civilization ' and that was not just an empty statement.

The song is sad , the guy who plays guitar wrote it and made the music and sang it about 40 years ago , about ten years ago he and dariush Eghbali sang 3 songs together : "age ye rooz" which belongs to Faramarz Aslani , "Ay eshgh" which belongs to Dariush and Divar which they made together and they sang it . And about this song , it's about a guy worrying that his partner/girlfriend leaves him and they sing about what happens if she leaves the guy
