Hey Becca! So tonight, I was hanging out with some friends that are not christians, and afterwards when I was in my car, I felt very discouraged and confused about how I was going to pursue an intimate relationship with Jesus when everyone around me (I live in a small town, gonna be a senior in high school) did not have the desire or understanding of that. On my way home, I was praying about it, just asking how I can dive into it fully when no one else was or wanted to. So I got home and I went to bed, praying again for God to reveal to me a scripture(s) that He wanted me to read. So I got Ezekiel in my head, and looked it up. But nothing stuck out to me... discouraged, I put my bible away and came onto KZbin. Low & behold, I see this video! BECCA. You were literally talking about the whole friend situation, and you read from Ezekiel! GOD IS SO FAITHFUL! Thank you for this video, Jesus is really using you for His kingdom. Just thought I'd let you know :) Sending love from Texas! xo

Jesus said "He who believes, AS THE SCRIPTURES HAVE SAID, then out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water!" When I received the Holy Spirit I had this experience and almost physically you could feel that spring coming from your chest! It's amazing and I haven't been the same since.

Great analogy!! I often have to stop & ask myself - what am I filling my mind with? It makes such a difference in my mood and my day. Also I love how you talked about not just spending time with Christians - love that!!

When I was around 9 years old I gave God my back and failed Him miserably. When I see someone like you walking upright with the Lord it is so precious to see. Believe it or not you are very inspiring. I have no perfect words to describe how motivating your walk with Christ and sweet messages are. They help a whole lot. I couldn't thank you the way Jesus will.

Javier Romero Oh my gosh thank you but I am not perfect at all. I have my own struggles with things all of the time... I struggle with soooo many things! Please don't feel like I am perfect because that's so far from the truth, and I never want anyone to think that I am any better than anyone else because I'm not at all!! I am so broken and in need of a Savior.

Super message Becca; "Fill yourself UP more and more with Jesus - so you can pour yourself OUT with more and more of the Spirit of Life within you!" (And keep on reading the Bible even if you don't 'feel' like you're being filled, because you definitely are being filled in ways you can't yet realize. Amen!)

That's a good metaphor. Water is pure and so is God's love. God replenishes and makes us clean and reviving. It is sometimes difficult to to guide strangers to follow Jesus, Jesus was so brave and courageous spreading many miracles. I am trying to uplift those who do not know Christ and be a good example. I go to skate parks where there is a lot of cursing and bad language and I pass bottles of water to the youth and teens. I try to lead others in the word.Thank you for your message! =]

For 23 years , I was this 'okay christian' .. but after a sudden change in my life 2 months ago, I started realizing the truth behind the biblical stories and parables. It feels as if I had eyes but wasn't really seeing and getting. I am now, constantly hungry for the holy spirit and lord's voice.

There are sometimes bad days right after the amazing days, but I don't get as nearly as sad or lonely. I think it's because God is working that the devil tries to fight against God's amazing plan! But God always wins, I'm so happy it's crazy! Definitely always fill up your cup with Jesus water! Hahahah or air will fill your cup, your zoom in made me laugh! Your friend is right! I thought this video was so insightful and truth spoken from God through you! God bless you. And keep going, shine bright! FarAwayDistance I am conflicted on the concept of truth in Christianity. which version is right, Catholic, protestant, Baptist, Mormon, I don't know. all I know is that they all can't be true and I don't want to worship God the wrong way
@FarAwayDistance7 жыл бұрын
Dominic Tafoya Aww okay don't you worry!! So there are 4 branches of Christianity that are biblical and follow the doctrines of the original disciples and apostles of Jesus. :) Protestantism, Catholicism, Pentecostalism, and Orthodoxy. Protestant is what I am, and that's where the many other denominations fall under such as baptist, evangelical, Lutheran, etc. Orthodoxy is less known and practiced here in the western world, but it is highly practiced in the eastern world. It is very traditional, more so than Catholicism. Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses are cults of Christianity, meaning that they take their beliefs from Christianity but they have added stuff to the original religion and can sometimes also be secretive. I know a TON about Mormonism because I have a ton of Mormon friends. They believe in additional books to the Bible which is not biblical, they believe salvation can be by works, they believe in different levels of heaven, baptism for the dead, and many other things that are not in the Bible, but were added on later. Christians fall under the original four branches I listed for you. Hope that helps :)

MCPeach 14 Hi!! Aww I was scared too but middle school was awesome. :) And don't even worry about tomorrow, God says focus on one day at a time. Look at all of the stories from the Old Testament - God was so faithful to people time after time after time - so with you and your future: He's got you!!! Don't you even worry. He asks us to not worry (I struggle with this too though trust me it's hard not to) because He has it all planned out, He is already up ahead in our future. He will be with you every moment. Look up the song Do It Again by Elevation Worship. He is so faithful and He will continue to be faithful to you for the rest of your life. You can be such a bright light in your middle school, you have no idea! God's going to use you in your school!!! I promise. xx

I take slight offense at the idea that i, because i am an atheist, am a broken person just because i do not accept Jesus. I extrude all the same characteristics as a believer in terms of my behavior towards others. But to say that im someone to "be careful around" because i am "broken" is offensive.
@Katie-yc4el7 жыл бұрын
She said that she viewed all of her friends as being broken, including the Christian ones. We (as Christians) believe that every person is broken, including ourselves. Sorry for the confusion. 😌
@__Andrew7 жыл бұрын
Well firstly i *was* a Christian. Over two decades worth. But even if she said "all" of her acquaintances were broken, she mentioned that some of them you should limit your time with, or be in contact with them in only certain settings. Sure you can say "every one is broken" but when phrased as she did it singled out certain people as being "more" broken. So yes, i take offense if, because i am an atheist, someone feels they can not be alone with me in certain settings. Not sure what it is they worry i will do. Many atheist never bring up religion or god unless it was brought up first. I would say Christians are way more out spoken and the ones more likely to bring up god. I just had a lovely dinner with a friend of mine (who happens to be an ex) and god was never brought up. She is very religious, i am not. We had a nice dinner and caught up on each other lives. I did not try to tempt her into hell or anything lol. If you are worried that an atheist, when the conversation is brought up, might say critical things about your religion.. then what is the problem? Is your faith fragile and can not take it? Are you against thinking about new ideas or re-evaluating already held ones? Any belief you hold should *always* be scrutinized, questioned, and thought about from *all* angles. Otherwise how could you ever realize if what you believe is true or not. Its like if a raciest never associated with non-raciest, how could they ever have that deeply held belief questioned for them to perhaps come to a more critical and rational opinion?
@FarAwayDistance7 жыл бұрын
Andrew I did say I view all of my friends as the same! "We are all broken and in need of a Savior" is what I said. And that's just my belief because of my faith as a Christian. I understand if you don't agree with me, but that's my faith and my opinion. I love everyone, I am just careful about who I spend the most time around because people can be bad influences and can bring you down to make decisions you wouldn't normally make. That's why I choose to hang out with them in environments where I know there won't be a chance we'll have an issue with morals and stuff. So it definitely wasn't meant to be offensive, but I do apologize anyways. I love everyone, trust me. I talked about my different friends in the video. We all have our struggles and we are all on different walks of life. God pursues everyone no matter what struggle or walk they're on, and I try to do the same.
@__Andrew7 жыл бұрын
@PainthenHope - That is special pleading and the No True Scotsmen Fallacy. And i personally am very annoyed when people go to the "you were not a true christian" speech. You do not know me. You do not know how i felt in regards to my religion. Did you ever see me in my lowest points with tears in my eyes while i prayed to god? You do not know my thoughts and feelings. If i say i was a "true" Christian doubting that gets nowhere. And there is an entire project set up (The Clergy Project) that is filled with hundreds of ex Christians ministers and the such. Some of them that taught about god for perhaps longer than you have been alive. Were they not true Christians? And to another, more traditional Christian, they would probably say that *you* are no true Christian. See how that gets nowhere? So please in the future, refrain from that line of logic. It gets nowhere. Same with the "well you just did not know god". I could make the same argument for any belief. You dont agree with the democrats? Well you just dont know politics. You dont agree with Muslims? Well you just do not know Allah. You like hamburger over steak? Well you just dont know meat lol. See? And i do not mean to come off as hostile, but illogical arguments should be called out.
@__Andrew7 жыл бұрын
@FarAwayDistance - Yes i acknowledged you said "all your friends were broke" but you then went on to distinguish that some were "more" broken than others. Why are you afraid to be alone with an atheist in the same settings you would a theist? I know you did not set out to be intentionally mean, but in a way you are. And it's people with that kind of thinking that keeps me, an atheist, scared sometimes to talk about my own personal opinions. People have no problem with me, they like me, love me, work with me... but what if when they find out i am an atheist they then do not wish to spend time with me like we once did. I dated a girl that i was very much in love with. But at the time i was transitioning into non-belief and i was scared to death to tell her because she was religious. Same with my work, they are all very religious. My boss was a staunch catholic. If i mentioned i was an atheist my job might have been in jeopardy. Same thing with my past living situation. And that brings me to the second point i brought up. The *WHY* you do not wish to be in the same settings with us as your theist friends. You seemed to claim that you worried our "atheism" would rub off on you. Why do you think that? Unless the subject is religion i do not bring up my beliefs. And even then, why is open discussion something to shun? As i said, a held belief should be questioned constantly to verify it. If questioning and critical thought is an enemy of a belief... then the problem in this situation lays with the belief. If you and i grabbed lunch together, and you did not know me before hand, as long as the conversation was not about god you would have no idea i was an atheist. So yes, i take offense when suddenly i am cast in a different light once this is known. I hate to say it, but it reminds me of people who are bigoted against homosexuals. And that want to stay away from someone once they learn they are gay. As if now that they are gay this person that was a part of your life is a totally different person. Like she was replaced with an android or something over night lol.
