I admire people from Western countries who are able to enjoy a country like Saudi Arabia. As for myself, as a Western woman who has always lived in Western countries, I must say I would feel very uncomfortable and miserable to see all those women there who are totally covered and wear almost only black clothing and hide their bodies and faces. When I see them in Europe dressed like that, I actually feel anger and sadness. My worst nightmare would be to go to Saudi Arabia and to have to dress like that. Even when I watch the video at 2:22 I can't help thinking that it is a nightmare to live that way and it actually breaks my heart that women have to endure such a life, but I do respect those people.

I spent my life's most important days there! From 2004 to 2018. Heart touching memories.. never forgettable happiness, emotional moments.. ups and sometimes down too.. Left the city under some unavoidable circumstances in April 2018. I am watching Riyadh with tears in my eyes after 2 and half years through this video. Many things are changed and more developed and most places are still the same! Thank u Fardeen. I miss you my darling Riyadh... Hope I can be there once again in life (In Shaa Allah) 😭😭😭

I spent 7 months in Riyadh 30 years ago. I did a lot of driving and saw a lot of the city. There were maybe three times in this whole video where I caught a glimpse of something vaguely familiar. Riyadh has completely transformed, and in a good way.

See Ibrahim AS the son of highest priest and millionaire of that time, when submitted himself he has to make his house Kaba away from all riches and luxuries... وَلَا تَهِنُوا فِي ابْتِغَاءِ الْقَوْمِ إِن تَكُونُوا تَأْلَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَأْلَمُونَ كَمَا تَأْلَمُونَ وَتَرْجُونَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَرْجُونَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا ﴿النساء: ١٠٤﴾ And Never Show Laziness in (struggle of your Religion) Chasing of enemy organizations. If you are taking pains (to establish justice), they too are in pain (to establish in-justice). And (mind) you have returns from Allah (award, paradise) and they, no return (hell). And Allah knows the sciences (of your success). 4:104 إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّـهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَلَّا تَخَافُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا بِالْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ ﴿فصلت:٣٠﴾ Indeed those who said, “Allah is our Lord” and remained firm upon it - upon them descend the angels, (saying), “Do not fear nor grieve, and be happy for the Paradise, which you are promised. (This is true prosperity)” (41:30 / 6:67) إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّـهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ﴿الأحقاف: ١٣﴾ Indeed those who said, “Allah is our Lord”, and then remained steadfast on it - upon them is neither any fear, nor shall they grieve. (46:13).
