Went there in November, greatest experience. Unfortunately most of the people I met couldn’t speak English or Spanish, and i couldn’t speak Arabian so it was a little challenging at first. I never made it up to the Mamlaka skybridge, because of the metal detectors (rolling dirty). I did have a great meal at Al Faisaliyah, however, in the globe that has the place that rotates. It was during Eid and we had a full view of the fireworks going off all over the city. You should have done a walkthrough of Batha, lots of great little shops, if a bit run down. When I think of Riyadh it's places like Batha, Hara, and the less overtly commercial neighborhoods (the more grounded places), that give me the most nostalgia.
