Farewell by the River -Original Composition (Double-Strung Harp 432 hz) + Sheet Music

Sharing with you my latest composition on the double strung harp. The imaginary is that of a mother saying goodbye to her son by the river. The story takes place in the ancient days when people travel by boats to faraway lands and it would probably be years before seeing loved ones again. The mother silently watches the flowing river take away her son until he is no longer in sight . . .

*I was happy that this was actually the first and only take I had to do for this video. Footages in the video were shot at Lake Siskiyou in Mount Shasta.

Hi Tracie, your harp playing is so soothing and you are really talented. Do you perform anywhere? I'm wondering how you have obtained so many beautiful harps!!😀🎵🎶I would love a double strung harp - I've fallen in love with it after listening to you play. But I can't afford it, and I live in Australia, which makes it difficult with the shipping. I probably need to improve my playing on my single strung harp first!!! You must put in hours of practice each day. Would singing with the double strung harp work? Thank you for all your effort in showcasing your amazing and beautiful gift!

The Narrow Way Thank you so much for listening and commenting! I’m so glad you enjoy my music 🥰. I am not a professional player and I don’t really perform in public except for occasional meditation gatherings for friends. And no, I don’t really practice as much as I should LOL. Ha, i know it may look like I have tons of harps. Two years ago, I sold my pedal harp and embarked on a journey to find my forever lever harp(s). I had a chance to go through and try out many different harps. Right now, I’ve narrowed my collection down to 3 harps, which I feel are definitely my forever harps. They are: Thormahlen Serenade, Musicmakers Sonnet lap harp, and Stoney End Double Strung Ena lap harp. I absolutely love them all, I live in Northern California and the nearest harp shop is 4 hrs away. So I mostly had to rely on online research and listening to recordings to determine whether I’d like the sound, etc. It seems the double strung harps are really becoming popular in the harp community. But I think single strung and double strung harps are equally valuable in that they serve different purpose and showcase different sounds, depending on the music. So I will always be playing both. You can definitely sing with a harp whether it’s single or double. So continue to enjoy your single strung harp. And I hope that someday you’ll get a chance to try out a double 💞.
