you know what would be way cooler ? remember the scene in topgun maverick before "then its a dogfight" ? what if the protagonist and his wingman somehow ended up being shot down near ustio, in the middle of a war, evaded capture and certain death, while looking for a way out they get close to this abandoned airbase and find the actual F15 from Galm 1 and PJ's F16, arm their guns full and missiles with whatever the can find and take off amidst an air raid. you actually be fighting in Cipher's F15 a forgotten piece that should be in a museum now soar the skyes again to save the day. Even better would be if there is already an F15 in the game, but cipher's is a modified version aptly named "the demon lord" or something like that.

Today, the planes have been picked clean of spare parts, with faded paint and moss growing on their surfaces. Perhaps in a twist of irony, the boneyard that these two legendary planes were relocated to, is only fifty miles from the disused Avalon Dam facility."

This video makes me sad. Eventually, the F-15 line of fighters would be too outdated in the near future, and the few remaining ones will only be available to be seen in Air Museums. This thing was a legend, no recorded losses with a such a high air victory count, it was way ahead of it's time during it's inception, and was considered to be what fighter jets are meant to be since then. I hope the F-15 line of jets continue to live on.

The rusting hulk of an F15 lay out in the middle of an abandoned, empty junkyard. Empty in the sense of desolation it gives as one traverses the field where disused and damaged military equipment lay rotting, picked clean by the military, then by scavengers once the military had left them. What were once feared equipment that dealt death and destruction are now useless pieces of metal slowly returning to the earth. But as the sun set and the wind blew, a faint sound can be heard. A sound reminiscent of a war long past. A sound of stories wanting to be heard as the wind rushed inside the empty hulks. The loudest of those sounds came from the derelict F15, whose afterburners seeming come alive in odd hours despite the engines in an inoperable state. It tells of a story of heroics, brotherhood, betrayal, loss. The bullet holes and the shattered canopy tells a story of unfathomable horrors and painful reunions. The oxidation of exposed aluminum airframe and the fading of the gray paint and blue wingtips tell of a tale of a tragedy underneath the ultimate victory and the cost of war both in a literal and on a figurative level. Sadly, this aircraft's true stories are buried underneath layers of bureaucratic red tape. It may take a while until it could be told but I fear that there will be nothing left of this airframe when that day comes. But alas, she preaches in a language only the derelict machines can understand though I can feel her emotions. However, I do wonder: whatever became of the pilot that flew her, the crew that serviced her, and the boys she protected down below? As I left the junkyard, I looked up above as contrails streaked across the sky, seemingly splitting the pink and blue sunset in half. As I stare at it, I realize the contrails were coming off an aircraft similar to the gray and blue aircraft behind me. The cockpit glints as the aircraft rolls over, then a boom as soon as it levels out and accelerates quickly towards the horizon. I wonder if that's who I think it was.

Anyone that is a warbird enthusiast will tell it's quite the feeling when you see an actual 'combat vet'. The first time I ran my hand along patched flak damage on 'Maid in the Shade' from it's time over Italy decades earlier, it left me speechless. Not far from that damage was signatures of so many who had flown as crew members on B-25s in WWII, including a Doolittle Raider or two. I had happened to be late at the airport 'That's All Brother' was at the night before one of the D-Day anniversaries. I half expected ghosts of 101st and 82nd Airborne paratroopers to come out of the darkness to board. Of course, The Demon Lord of the Round Table is from a game and the plane is not a person, it's like the weapon of a hero like Excalibur, Mjölnir or others. No matter the story, fiction or not, the weapon of the hero is much a part of the legend as the hero itself. It's the closest thing to meeting the hero themselves. I think you captured this feeling well in a beautifully done video. Well done.

Now while this is a very dramatic video, I can validate that Cipher the Demon of the Belkan War, the Black Knight of the Round Table, did not crash his plane, nor has there been any case of some farmer claiming salvage rights for a intact, fully armed and operational F-15C Eagle, for all intense and purposes both pilot and machine simply vanished, There was, in fact, a full-blown inquiry and several investigations, spanning several years, in the aftermath of the Belkan War, launched by the Osean Intelligence Center and its other branches such as the Office of Naval Intelligence, Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency, Military Intelligence Corps, Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, Military Police Corps, Marine Security Guard, Department of the Air Force Police, there was a lot and I mean a lot of stuff that was investigated, processed etc, it was not just one case, yes Cipher's identity took priority, but other than partial information, such as a small nr of eye witness, accounts and well Pixy's going AWOL and or deserting, etc, not to mention there is the matter that the military branch of Ustio had either destroyed their documents, as means to avoid further political stranglehold for its independency or that there HQ was among the many cratered blocks, There were however multiple conflicting reports of mercenary pilots in the aftermath claiming they were him, be it for laurels and other stuff, but information gathered from their plane's flight recorder, combat data, interviews and others as such proved them wrong, that being said there were more than a few skilled mercenary pilots, operating in the aftermath, it is not impossible for him to have simple vanish in the crowd so to speak, plenty of other border wars for him to fight in, Several bits of proof exists to confirm Cipher's continued existence yet none of his known whereabouts, the first come in the form of reports submitted by the legendary hero of the Continental War known under the callsign of Mobius 1 who saw firsthand the appearance of mercenary pilots acting as regional peacekeepers for other countries, who were badly affected by the Ulysses disaster, although most seem to be "rookies" or academy dropouts based on their skills, there was in few nr of them that showed real skill, if not actual combat experience, perhaps former Belkan and Osean pilots, it was noted they were very well armed, during these times these pilots would be nicknamed the "Dogs of the War" or "War Hounds" The second "appearance" was during the Circum-Pacific War when war hero and pilot callsign Blaze reported the appearance of mercenary companies and individuals, often called "War Hounds", rather than codenames they used numbers to denounce themselves they acted as security forces for merchant ships, even having light escort carrier but there were rumors of a Kitty Hawk-class aircraft carrier in their possession, During both the Emmeria-Estovakia War heroe pilots under the callsign Talisman and Aurelian War pilot captain callsign Gryphus 1, made reports about their respective countries hiring mercenaries to either help them fight or train their own troops, Officially the use of PMC air forces brandishing a similar logos and as such was deemed a form of "hero worship" and Osea stopped investigating at that time, entilry the present world unrest took priority over an old war dog who was likely dead at this point, It was not until Mobius 1 was given clearance to investigate a series of files pertaining to the Belkan War, it was then that new proof was uncored, that and along with a series of a next generation of Osean pilots who proved themselves in the flight combat simulator that certain pieces were starting to fit together, the last bit of proof that was needed to kickstart his investigation in high gear was in the aftermath of simulator fight where one pilot, managed to defeat not just his fellow colleagues, but even downing some his instructors, some of whom were veterans, in the following months, that one cadet was taken by him and put in a mock battle, both using F18, the young pilot managed to down Mobius 1, with a total of 3 out 5 with twice with guns and 3 times with missiles, during the end of his training and after graduating, he chose his logo and soon after his callsign, Trigger,

I'm going to be honest. I don't believe that Ace Combat protagonists are human. They're daemons (like Warhammer warp entities) literally like the legend of Razgriz. I also believe that their aircraft are extensions of their being. Therefore, it would be impossible for this to occur, because once the crisis has ended, the pilot, and their ride, vanish. It's both terrifying and mystifying at the same time, which is exactly like the Ace Combat Strangereal universe. They live in a post-apocalyptic world that hasn't seen peace since the rocks fell.

Except his little boast is impossible. Blaze and the rest of Ghosts of Razgriz retired from combat flying at the end of 5 "never to fly in war again", with Edge going on to become an astronaut. Mobius 1 was potentially downed, but is highly unlikely. pretty sure Cipher just flat out disappeared after the Belkan War. Talisman's status is currently unknown being the most recent, and Garuda 2 was crippled and grounded at the end of the war. so Mihay could have swatted a bunch of aces, but he was never tested against the Aces of Aces, IE: the PCs and their squadron mates.

I love how the F-15 is considered to be the "canon" Cipher jet. It's the same line as Pixy's, except the paint schemes are reversed. Pixy has a single red wing, while Cipher has two blue ones.

That all depends how old was Cipher during the Belkan war? I'm more inclined that Trigger is, somehow, related with Cipher... However both instances explain Trigger's OP skills, why someone tried to frame him and why Osea rushed his court martial!!! You can see throughout AC7 that both ally and enemy fears and respects Trigger in equal measure, like they did Cipher and that also explains in universe, why He uses the Dog as his logo!!!

@@monitorlizardkid8253 The only problem with it is that AC 1 (air combat) takes place in the same year as Zero. You could come up with the excuse of the time skip in the final stages of Zero to be the time where he became Phoenix, then returned to his old Alias at the end of the year for that war specifically. But those are some big jumps to conclusions... sadly.

Kinda just want to write a little narrative/story about this, that takes place a few years after the Belkan War, So here it goes: On a bright, crisp morning, birds chirp their early morning songs and the wildlife begins to stir to life after a nights rest, but lain in an empty field, was a forgotten relic of a long, past war. An aircraft to be exact, an F-15C, which lies, unmoving. The aircraft was being overtaken by the wildlife around it, moss growing on the air-frame and the afterburners, vultures and other scavenger animals and other forest wildlife taking the aircraft's steel apart.. The aircraft lay beyond repair.. Adorned with fading blue accents on its wings, which hold the Ustio roundel. The tail stabilizers and flaps, which also had the blue paint work, one of its stabilizers torn to scrap and wires, on each of the two stabilizers were faded red canine emblems, the emblem of an Ace of the forgotten past.. The F-15C slumbers peacefully, alone in the middle of the field.. Waiting for it's Ace to return to fly it, unaware its pilot will not return.. Unaware that new Aces will take its place in the blue skies above it.. A vulture lands on top of the aircraft, picking away at the steel again, then flies away, leaving the aircraft more broken.. Later that night a group of Soldiers found the aircraft.. "Huh? What's that?" One of them questions as the group walks towards the aircraft. "Seems like some sort of aircraft.. Who left this out here?" They open the canopy to find maybe a hint of who flew this massive steel steed.. But it was mainly barren inside, but one of them found a dog tag, with a Call-sign engraved, "Cipher.." One of them curiously holds it up to show their buddies, "Huh, maybe we should bring this to Commander and see what he thinks about it.." Later that evening, they made it back to their base, with one of them holding the dog tag with them. The Commander approaches the few "So. How'd the patrol go?" One of the soldiers steps forward and salutes "No enemies around, Sir. But we did find something that we wanted to show you." The soldier says as he hands the dog tag over to the Commander, who examines it carefully, before a realization hits him "Where did you find this.." The soldiers were a bit confused by his reaction "In a field, there was a broken aircraft.. It had this inside it.. What's with the reaction?" The Commander looks up at the Soldiers "This dog tag.. Was worn by one of the best Aces that have trailed the skies.." The Soldiers glance at each other, before one of them speaks up "And who was this.. Ace.. Sir?" The Commander looks at the Soldier "Are you kidding? He was a mercenary known as Cipher.. A mercenary that was hired by Ustio.. One of the best of the best.. A True Ace.." Out of the corner of their vision.. They swore they had seen a distant, quick shape dart in the sky and into the clouds above.. Though it was too quick for them to get a good glimpse.. They had a slight feeling of what or who that might've been..
