The licenses on the music ran out. You can still buy Sackboy: A Big Adventure and they will likely make a new game eventually. The Nintendo Switch shop has dozens of games not on there anymore or at all.

Pretty much. I get Astro Bot was a really good game with a definitive mascot, but did they seriously have to shaft LBP?

@@ConcavePgons Astro Bot will never be a replacement for LBP, even though Astrobot is a good game. The main feature of LBP is the Create-Play-Share principle, so these games cannot be compared and contrasted with each other, because their essence is different. Sony made a huge mistake by killing the franchise that once sold their failed ps3 and saved the company (although, of course, not only LBP saved the company, but many other games did it too, still it doesn't diminish its merits).
