Congrats with your Sea of Cortez completion! We were wondering if you both happen to know what percentage of the time you were sailing vs motoring vs motor sailing in the sea of Cortez. We are wondering because we are all electric. We need to make sure our solar panels and battery bank is enough. What was your longest motoring trip in miles? Can’t wait for the next episode! Lots of boat work

Funny you mentioned it!! we actually mentioned that too on one episode which is to air yet.... since SF we did 3000 miles and spent $500 on diesel. our engine takes nearly a gallon of diesel per hour. In the SOC we did sooo well and sailed mainly everywhere. never motored more then 4 hours ( mainly overnights) Hope this helps. Glad you are enjoying the show.

We just bought a towable Ranger Tug and are thinking about some future winter in the Sea of Cortez. One question... What flag (the red one) is that on your mast? I have tried looking it up but can't find it anywhere!

Going to the tropical parts of the Mexican Riviera. Sounds wonderful. Will you guys be crossing the Pacific to Hawaii any time soon? Or perhaps continue further south to Costa Rica? I want to do both, so I'll be anxious to follow along whatever you do. Keep the great vids coming guys. In two months I'll be anchoring at Santa Cruz Island's Scorpion Cove for a week or so to get in some snorkeling and spear fishing. I'll be channeling the two of you! Any anchoring tips for the channel islands?

Hola you! your Santa Cruz trip sounds amazing. If you can go to Coches Prietos too, still our top 5 anchorage ever. ( I think Episode 4 or 5) we made a decision to head south later on and visit Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica ( mainly) then we are discussing the Galapagos or straight to FP - Marquesas! Big plans! Hawaii is definitely out! We read the guide books and with all the anchorage fees and Marinas we would go bankrupt! lol can't wait to see your photos from the islands!

All the time, there are pretty .much no marinas in the Sea so total independent is required.
