IMHO, Thomas Sowell is one of the intellectuals of all time. He is under quoted and undervalued. Thanks for helping to expose his good work.
@CaseyLartiguejr3 ай бұрын
Thanks, John! Long time, no message. Sowell is a serious scholar and I learned a lot from him about thinking and analysis. On Sunday, I may hold a Zoom session with others who want to talk about him.

No words can discribe how much of an impact this man has had on my life (& others). Thank you Thomas Sowell for what you’ve done and what you continue to do! God Bless you Sir! 🙏🏼👍🏼📖🫡

A truly wise man. I'm glad he published so many books. So future generations can experience his timeless wisdom. He is a historical figure and should be featured in American textbooks.

Thanks for that comment! I learned a lot from him although I only met him once. What is great is that years ago Dr. Sowell knew who I was, according to his research assistant at the time as well as Professor Walter E. Williams.

I recently found Sowell. What a revelation. I love this man. He's not an intellectual. He's a researcher and only talks and educates on what he discovers. An intellectual is someone who has a degree in basket weaving and thinks they can talk about engineering because they have a degree.
@CaseyLartiguejr3 ай бұрын
Then you may have come across his book "Intellectuals and Society." In terms of being a researcher, it was a typical Sowell book--with about 1,500 footnotes. Even when people disagree with Sowell, they will find if they look up his books that there's years or even decades of research behind them.
