As a pilot, the best part of the flight is when we turn off the taxiway and are cleared for takeoff. Make the turn onto the runway, push the throttles forward and begin the takeoff roll. If that doesn't get your stomach buzzing with excitement, you belong on the ground.

You certainly pick some GREAT places to spot. OGG was my very first airport where I took a DC 8-71 from KSEA. And back to SFO on the same type. I spent alot of time on the islands. I look forward to my "fix" from 2 more of my favourite airports. Safe travels sir.

Nice Beechcraft Premier towards the end. Safe travels and looking forward to some west coast and island spotting. If ya get the chance, I hear Boeing is test flying a nice mix of new airliners, ANA new 787-9, Icelandair 737-8 MAX, and best of all the new 737-10 MAX at BFI. Last i checked there was one max 10 at LBB Lubbock, TX

If you are breaking your trip most of the hotels in San Mateo offer a great view of jets approaching 28-L and 28-R at SFO. Lots of heavies!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the Delta 757 coming in at 8:45 bounced its nose wheel. You can see the smoke from nose wheel contact at 9:05, and then it appears to lift and come down again at 9:12.

I just found out, and correct me if I'm wrong, the RR engines on the 757-300 are the very same engines they put om the 767 and the 767 has a 60 ton greater maximum takeoff weight than the 757. That makes the 757 rather over powered and my favourite narrow body aircraft. Listening to your narrative, I get the idea that you like the 757 rocket ship as well. Love your videos and looking forward to SFO. stay safe captain ....

Not quite, same family of engines (RB211) but different variants and thrust settings-- 757s use RB211-535, 767s use RB211-524s. 767s do share the same variant with the 747-400 though.

Please be careful at OGG (Maui)!!! I got arrested there in 2010 doing exactly what you are. It took 13 months to dismiss, thankfully I had just moved there to live... Anyways you can see everything from heliport area and easily juice somebody to look other way=)

@@tommystx That's a great question! I wasn't even filming... I was sitting under a tree, not driving and somehow got a DUI. Maui Police can be creepy, esp. if you have an out of state license as I did.
