Your Victorian gauge is wider than standard. In NZ we have about 200 BR MII coaches rebuilt with 3ft-6in gauge bogies. It crossed my mind the coaches on the Bairnsdale line would be good for more years with refurbishment. However, I think they would be too wide for our loading gauge.

I live in Bairnsdale and love the N class it’s a shame that they are not operating on the Gippsland line anymore I was lucky to see the N471 pass through Garfield with the last train 🚂 and I don’t know how much longer they will be operating on the Warrnambool and the Swan Hill lines

The current rumor mill is that Vlocity trains will start to Warrnambool either towards the end of the year or nearly next year, but not for all services as they can't stable overnight at Warrnambool just yet. There's no plans to replace the N Classes to Swan Hill at this time.

Well, we’ve gotta get used to the noise when the high note horn blast on the N Class Locos because I love when my V/Line Train Drivers give me a very long loud Horn for me for a Horn Show and it makes me so happy!

I remember the first time I travelled on an N class hauled service 12 years from Seymour to Broadmeadows, I believe it was a Albury to Melbourne service years before Vlocities were put in service from Melbourne to Albury.

The train seats on the new carriages are hard and uncomfortable and theres no buffet car. This is a downgrade in service.

I saw a V/Line Loco while going back to Roxburgh Park it wasn’t the Gippslander it was a normal one at the north Melbourne flyover
