What an amazing tribute to the Queen. I saw some aerial photos from the helicopter that showed the huge lines of people along the streets who came out to pay their R-E-S-P-E-C-Ts to Aretha. Thank you for uploading this outpouring of love. Aretha will always be the one-and-only Queen of Soul. Rest in Peace, dear Lady Soul.

I can't believe some of the negativity that I'm getting on this video people wanting me to change the name ect. It's sad I even had someone to say that it looked more like a circus, everyone got their own opinion!! RIH RE-RE

There will always be haters. All we can do is keep on being ourselves and not letting them get to us. The people who showed their love for the Queen, whether they were riding in beautiful pink Cadillacs (especially those first vintage cars) or just standing on the street, were real and sincere. Those are the ones who matter, not the haters and negative thinkers. Thank you again.

I am the owner of this video and I just want to say a special Thank to Mary Kay for their support, and Swanson Funeral home for the excellent job that they did on the Queen of soul, my condolences goes out to the Franklin Family and friends, I know Aretha Franklin is so proud of DETROIT as well as the whole world for the awesome tribute to her life, and for everyone support, our mayor of Detroit has renamed a local park formally known as chene park in DETROIT MICHIGAN to ARETHA FRANKLIN PARK, WOW THAT'S AN HONOR, THEIR'S EVEN A STREET NAMED AFTER HER, NOTHING BUT LOVE IN THE D FOR MS FRANKLIN, my cousin use to work for Aretha Franklin, and always said what a wonderful person she was, I never gotten the chance to have met the queen personally, but it's feels that I've known her for a life time, Aretha Franklin once lived not far from me on a street named sorrento which was only 10 blocks away from me off 7mile rd in Detroit not to far from where I shot this video, Thanks to each and everyone of you for watching and leaving your comments, my KZbin page has really expanded since posting this video of the QUEEN OF DETROIT the QUEEN was very special to everyone in DETROIT BECAUSE SHE COULD HAVE LIVED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, AND SHE CHOSE DETROIT AS HER HOME SO THAT'S WHY I SAY, WE ALL LOVED AND WILL MISS HER SO MUCH!! MUCH LOVE TO ALL OVER THE WORLD, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!! ♥️♥️💯 Loved by all Aretha Franklin loved music and so do I, feel free to check out some of many more videos on my page of local Artists and musicians right here in DETROIT Several captures from live performances at MotorCiry Casino in DETROIT!! Thanks for subscribing to my page MsNeet!! Thanks to All ♥️♥️💯

Mary Kay did that. I didn't even know Mary Kay was responsible for that beautiful tribute until someone told me. During her funeral I just saw a sea of white woken wearing the same thing and I was like um okay, I mean I know Aretha touched everyone and then someone was like thy representing Mary Kay.🤦🏽♀️😭
@NeetNeet636 жыл бұрын
The reason behind Mary Kay leading Aretha Franklin funeral Procession was as you know Aretha Franklin had a song about Pink Cadillac's so Mary Kay just happen to be sponsor of the pink Cadillac's so it was only perfect to use Mary Kay as a Tribute to Aretha Franklin song Freeway of love in a Pink Cadillac!!! Awesome Tribute fix for a Queen!!

Our people are so sad why couldn't they move their asses out the street and just shut up and be quiet for a couple of minutes while the funeral procession went down the street it's bad enough to family had to sit so long through this long funeral in the first place I Love Aretha Franklin too but my goodness they are so loud rude and obnoxious. 100 Cadillacs though that was ridiculous to 100 Cadillacs I guess that included the older Cadillacs as well I could understand the older Cadillacs being in the procession but all those SUV Cadillacs.

I understand that Aretha Franklin would have wanted her fans and family to celebrate her life and timeless music, but I do not like this carnival or circus like atmosphere!!!!! People monotizing her legacy and image! Just like the minister who used Aretha Franklin ' s funeral for some irrelevant platform about black people, instead of giving Aretha Franklin a respectful uology!! This so terrible and makes black people look like a bunch of greedy , ignorant idiots! Aretha Franklin is probably spinning in her grave! Black people stop making us look bad!
@NeetNeet636 жыл бұрын
Its was more like Ignorant people being Ignorant, being Ignorant don't Represent a certain color all black people don't act or think the same way, and they can't think or act for me!!

All blacks don't Represent me I don't know about you
@cpman19876 жыл бұрын
MsNeet I understand what you're saying, I really do! But unfortunately, this is the mythology that some of America believes about African Americans... I am not making a "blanket" statement about all black people, I'm just ashamed her funeral was so marginalized by a few ignorant people that happen to be black! I meant no disrespect to you! My sincerest apologies! Aretha Franklin 1942 - Eternity! Peaceful Journey! - Thank You!

That's not a funeral persession looks like a circus to me sad
@NeetNeet636 жыл бұрын
David now why would you say that? Ms Franklin was a legend, she was known all over the world, and everybody played a part in her life, so that's why her Homegoing was so special to the world, her life was celebrated how she lived, Aretha Franklin would have wanted this I'm sure or the family would've not celebrated it this way, so don't feel that way, think positive, and Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video!! 👌♥️😘
@davidrossetti53696 жыл бұрын
@@NeetNeet63 first the outfit changes and viewings were flat out morbid, and her friend and family could have had the service televised if so desired. A 9 hour funeral is just plain ridiculous. She was a great musician not Jesus Christ. It was way over done and quite Morbid in my opinion and I'm a huge Aretha fan. Celebrate her life at a memorial don't parade her corpse around like a circus side show, this is a funeral not a performance nothing left here but that earthly body. It's a shame that the family felt the need to do this.
@NeetNeet636 жыл бұрын
David who knows this may have, but Aretha Franklin wishes, and the family just did as they were told to do by Aretha Franklin, you think?
