So, here’s what’s known: 1). Fargo, North Dakota (0:00) - Opening titles as Jerry drives into Fargo. 2). Unknown Cue #1 - First pass by the statue as we cut to the Blue Ox Hotel. “Paul Bunyan” variant. 3). Forced Entry (4:24) - Carl and Gaear attempt to kidnap Jean. 4). Unknown Cue #2 - Jean panics and falls down the stairs. 5). A Lot Of Woe (3:31) - Jerry loses his composure in the parking lot. 6). Unknown Cue #3 - Jerry comes home to find the house in shambles. 7). Paul Bunyan (19:10) - Second pass by the statue as Carl and Gaear enter Brainerd. 8). Unknown Cue #4 - The Sierra is pulled over. Callback to “Forced Entry” towards the end. 9). Trooper’s End (6:46) - Carl’s bribery attempt fails, leading Gaear to shoot the state trooper. 10). Rubbernecking (8:44) - Gaear chases down the unfortunate couple. 11). Mallard (12:15) - Pan over Norm’s studio to Marge and Norm. 12). Moose Lake (2:49) - Carl and Gaear bring Jean to the cabin. Sounds like an edit or differently arranged take in the film. 13). Ozone (5:47) - Carl tries to get a signal on the television, as Jean and Gaear look on. 14). Dance of the Sierra (10:50) - Carl swaps out his dealer plates with a random vehicle. 15). Delivery (13:18) - The ransom delivery goes off the rails; Jerry witnesses the bloody aftermath. Missing the drum hit at the 3:48 mark when he finds Wade dead, though it may just be sound design. 16). Safe Keeping (25:40) - Carl hides the majority of the ransom in the snow. 17). Chewing On It (7:50) - Marge reconsiders Jerry’s motivations over a burger, while he tries to fudge serial numbers. 18). Eager Beaver (19:45) - Marge apprehends Gaear trying to dispose of Carl’s body. First minute-twenty-seven is unused, utilized portion begins at 21:12. 19). Bismarck, North Dakota (18:06) - Marge’s reinforcements arrive, state troopers prepare to arrest Jerry in Bismarck. 20). Brainerd, Minnesota (22:58) - Marge and Norm snuggle together; end titles.

I have family in North Dakota. They hate the movie, the sound track... everyrhing about it. I never can understand why. The music conveys the tragedy of a event, so profoundly shocking, that it lingers to this day. The thing they dont understand is how wonderful it is to still be shocked by the inhumanity that lingers inside humans. It is a gift...because it means you havent become complacent. I envy not their naivety but their sense of an expectation for something better from us. Summed up no better than the ending..."for what?...a little bit of money...and on such a beautiful day" and she is starting to weep.

Or so I know too if a song begins/ends for sure cuz at times some seem to blend together kinda close, or go in a slow enough tempo to have me wonder if 1 song is 2 songs, etc. You know what I mean? Like I said, you don't have to but is sure as heck appreciate it. Amazingly Spotify doesn't even have this album on it, not that I've seen. :)
