I absolutely loved Kirsten Dunst in Season 2 as Peggy Blomquist. Great acting, I don't know why she wasn't recognized for it. All actors did amazing jobs in Season 2 but she was lost in her role.

So odd that Lou ends up running a diner and suggests his daughter become a hostess while all those years back he saw aftermath of the prologue of the Sioux Falls massacre in a waffle hut.

hahaha true!
@aleksisuuronen59693 жыл бұрын
True 😄 But because of the massacre at the end I think he wants that to minimize the risks, after seeing the Ufo I think he thinks whatever can happen no matter where you are so he propably knows it wouldn't matter if he would open a gas station or diner or even a motel where the massacre happens.. shit happens no matter where you are just minimize it. Wrench, Number and even Malvo visits his diner and I think he also thinks he can handle those kinda situations (and he can by the way he talked to Malvo for example, knowing what he is right away) that happened in the waffle house better than for example the cook with a war cry that got him killed by Rye. I see the irony still and know that that's only what you are pointing out.

IDK how? The last ten minutes or so of season 2 made obvious connections to season one. The biggest being the DEAF man. He was visited by Lorne in the hospital, handcuffed to the bed of course, while Lorne said he was the closest to catching him. Also, how many truly deaf people using ASL to talk along with strong manual gestures to communicate emotions are in shows/movies?

Season 2 has so much going on it could have been broken into 3 seasons. Loved Lorne Malvo for his almost comedic world burn watch. ...but season 2 had some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time. Every character, major or minor had real presence in those episodes.

there is another obvious parallel that resolves between season 1 and 2. Molly lost her mother and grew up with just a dad, she then adopts into a family in season 1 where the little girl has a father for a police officer and the mother died while the girl was young. She makes her own story whole for the next generation.

Season one-10/10. I kept my mouth shut till I watched it since Fargo is a treasure by the Coen boys, and I've lived with remakes of remakes and spinoffs my entire life. Season one really had me and I was pissed when it was over. B.B.T.'s acting reminded me of Heisenberg in later seasons of "Breaking Bad". Season one's writing had the same feel. ominous for shadowing and set-ups from the past like "Breaking Bad". The first scene shown was a great example of this and a great example of the connections between the two.

I watched the first two seasons pretty far apart. Something about season 2 didn't click for me the first time and I gave up after episode one. I believe part of me felt cheated that I was just going back in time to see something off handedly mentioned in the first season instead of moving ahead to a future story. But after time passed I watched the full second season in two days because I was enjoying it so much. And I think part of that is because I completely forgot season 1. But now I need to watch videos like this because I forgot so many details. I didn't even remember Lou was the father/grandfather/diner owner. I'm sure the first time I watched I realized that, but this time around I watched it with very minor memory of season 1. I liked it a lot so it works great as a stand alone. Actually now when I'm reminded of the connections I feel like they really don't matter and almost don't work because the actors seem so vastly different that I almost prefer not to think of them as the same people. Lou somehow grew like a foot haha and his face looks drastically different. And the Hanzee thing seems like a last minute idea the vibe of that character between both seasons just doesn't gel for me. I'll just pretend they're totally separate stories.

***** Maybe. But other shows can pull it off; with The Leftovers, with Lindelof producing and profound subject matter, you'd assume it'd just be more LOST-style wankery, and yet it's just solid story.
