Years ago somehow I made the decision of studying in India. Lived there for three years. I have lived since and before in many countries, from Asia to western Europe to America. From almost surreal beauty of Switzerland to magical colourful polders of the Netherlands to an almost endless America. However, even after more than a decade, I simply can not and neither want to get rid of the feeling that I have left a piece of my heart and mind in India. It is almost as if everything pales in comparison. At times the thoughts of it make me happy thinking that I have been to India and many times the same thoughts depress me to know that I have been there and left, at the very least physically left. Something in the air, something in the voices of the birds around, something with the smell of thousands of spices, and most importantly something with the sheer ambition, desperation, the power of will of the people and yet being content with what they have. I have always tried to lead a very ambitious life but always struggled and miserably failed to find balance. Whenever going gets tough I think of the simple conversations I have had with rickshaw pullers and auto wala bhaiyas. They have thought me lessons which I could not from world renowned academicians. I guess, I want to go back to find the missing piece of me left in India. After finding it, we will remain forever there.

Translation may help those who cannot understand Hindi to understand the meaning. But, English is just not capable of depicting the deep meaning and sense of these beautiful poetries. To top it all, the placement of the poetries in the movies and the way Farhan recited them, sort of made these everlasting.
