Faris Will Become Fairy Tail’s PERFECT Villain!?

Some people think Acnologia is a basic badguy, but he is a heavily traumatised dragon slayer who indulged in his vengeful bloodlust and dark impulses so far he gained the ability to consume all types of magic and now he has a successor kind of who is also kind of Zeref's successor. I like these types of villains who use tne tools or abilities of other characters while putting their own spin on them. I'm really hoping black magic will be expanded upon because I find it quite interesting with how the different types focus on aspects of beings and curses. It seems it is the type of magic that allows a mage to manipulate life the most, which usually leads to a lot of suffering from other beings, hence why it is black magic.

In terms of writing I don’t think anyone is topping Zeref, top 10 best written villains in Shonen. Unless Faris has some deep deep backstory with so much suffering complexity etc, I don’t see it happening, but who knows Mashima could be cooking something insane🔥

Hades and Mard Geer are still the goats for me. Alvarez ruined Zeref and Acnologia for me based on how their characters ended and how anticlimactic their defeats were.

Hopefully that Earth Land Faris would live up to the hype of being a villain alongside Ignia in the 100 Years Quest. Plus seeing more of her abilities (both Black Magic and the power of Acnologia's arm) would be cool too.

Not exactly like that. Lucy mentions in chapter 261 that the source and the only true magic is love and all the magic comes from it , saying she heard this from her mother. When Zeref and Mavis die in chapter 537, they state: "the magic that unites us all" about love. Love overcomes a curse strong enough to kill a Dragon God, so I think it's largely confirmed that the source of magic is love. This makes sense, considering the fact that magic becomes stronger through positive emotions. That's why, in my opinion, this theme is resolved and perfectly crafted. But we'll see what Mashima has in store.

Good point it’s a bit since I revisited that moment but it’d be interesting as while Love is the main source of magic a good twists is that everything has a dark side and darkness could be drawn out by those with overwhelming darkness

Definitely what I’ve been saying since 174, Faris is the representative of all previous villains that Fairy Tail fought (all of the Baram Alliance, Zeref, and Acnologia all wrapped into one - nothing could be better!)

Hmm... I wonder if dark Faris (if she's ever pressed in battle) overexert Acnologia's power, could she start to dragonize potentially or just be taken over completely by his "will"? It's possible she thought ahead and made Acno's hand partially mechanical to keep that from happening or slowing down the process. Still I'm looking forward to what she can bring to the table!

I mean Fairs is like a combination of Acno and Zeref a combination of a dragon and a black wizard who uses curses and create demons with that information I think she could actually be the Key for END reawakening who else if not a combination between black wizard and black dragon

I honestly believe we will get back story on the Secks once they are defeated. They will cry & say how they became that way. Typical stuff. I don't believe Faris will live up. She just got introduced way to late in the game

We’re not in the final arc is we got time to flesh her out as even I don’t think Mashima would waste her story potential after introducing her as a surprise character. Sechs backstory I see that potentially happening but in the end it all comes down to execution at the end of the day so we can’t be too certain till that happens. If it’s bad it’s bad but I’m gonna withhold overall judgement on what’ll happen till it happens I’m excited and see Mashima locking in to explore more of what he didn’t in OG fairy tail
