God I LOVE Stardew Valley. When I quit my shitty job in 2020 I found this game and spent HOURS and HOURS playing. I love it so much. I originally got it just to marry Elliot but I got completely hooked on the whole thing. I have a big farm now and all my animals are named after drag queens.

Work towards completing the community center or getting your relationships up with the townspeople! That’s what helped me get into it a lot. Or just find what’s the most fun for you (fishing, mining, farming, etc.) and try to make a bunch of money from that specific thing!

At the beginning of the game it's kinda slow until you get more money, but once you learn the sprinkler recipes and have an auto feeder and collector (if you want to animals) you can go to the mines, talk to the people, fishing, finish quests, solve the secret notes, or whatever else you want to do.

There’s also mods you can install to change it up! That’s what I did for my second run through because I quit maybe a third of the way through my first time playing due to boredom
