The third-generation Warling farm near Audubon, MN, has a long history of hard work and self-reliance. Albin and Carol, along with their nine children, had spent several decades proudly tending to their land and cattle. It was a true family operation. In early spring of 2022, Carol was diagnosed with kidney cancer and spent the next several months in and out of hospitals and nursing homes to combat the disease. Albin remained by her side throughout her battle, but also had crops waiting to be planted at home. An anonymous referral to Farm Rescue helped connect the Warlings with some much-needed assistance to complete this crucial work. Our Farm Rescuers were honored to seed the family's soybeans, allowing Albin and Carol to focus on her treatment and rest. Sadly, Carol passed away in November 2022, leaving an incredible legacy and a loving family behind.
