Carrie that was a nice meal!! I'm wondering if you guys have watched THREE RIVER HOMESTEAD??? I ask because these folks are obviously homesteading but they also have a large family just like you guys...I think perhaps 7-8 children animals.. gardening canning.. home schooling...I ask because she seems to have this down to a science.,.lots of good tips that could possibly come in handy AND as of right now she is expecting...I myself am amazed by just the way she organizes absolutely everything!!

Happy thanksgiving! I’d love your pumpkin cranberry spice breakfast cookie recipe…I’m up to eyeballs in canned pumpkin. I made the mistake of not labeling my seedlings well last year and *thought* I was planting 4 spaghetti squash and 4 pumpkin…and ended up with 8 pumpkin plants that we harvested this fall 😂
@1000sofroots
@1000sofroots Жыл бұрын
Garden mistakes are inevitable and often a happy surprise. 🙂I don't have a recipe for the breakfast cookies, but you could probably use any oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe that uses honey and substitute pumpkin puree for half the honey. Then add pumpkin pie spice, cranberries, and pecans, instead of chocolate chips. I also add a little coconut flour (1/4 cup) so that the dough is more dry, allowing for extra eggs. And when I have it on hand, I add collagen protein powder as well. They end up less sweet (like a muffin) and more protein rich. We like to add a little butter on top. Blessings to you and your family!

What a Feast!! You are very creative! Great idea with the beans! We eat our old chickens too. I put them in the crockpot for the day. My son likes them better than the store bought young ones! I'm going to try your crustless sweet potato pie using my abundance of pumpkin! I have only ever heard of the autumn olives on your channel, had to look them up.I try to stop and pray while watching the sun rise and set. Such beautiful times of the day! Hooray for Caleb! I'm happy for you! Blessings to All!

Congratulations on the shop Caleb . It looks great. Although the shipping costs are something to look into it will be the additional custom costs that will keep international buyers from purchasing your physical products . The EU is charging ridiculous high extra custom costs on all products from outside the EU since beginning 2021. It is outrageous. I will give you an example: for a book bought online in the UK for 20€ I was charged an additional 34€ custom costs to bring it into Belgium and delivered to me. I don’t know , it seems to me that the governments in the western world are doing everything to destroy small businesses and keep us divided. I will look into the digital products . Good luck with the store 😊

They did a video on the cost of starting a homestead and suggested you have at least 70k to start. Their home and land is private they don’t open it up to people to come live on their land. The property was or the money for it was a gift from Kip’s mom before she died. It was an early inheritance. They said in a previous video his brother also contributed so they could buy the land. It is expensive to get started.

thanksgiving? Does your family also celebrate xmas and halloween? Just wondering, thanksgiving is for everyday to our Father in heaven for His Son not just once a year, not trying to sound rude, just confused why some believers don't observe some worldly "holidays" and others they do observe
@1000sofroots
@1000sofroots Жыл бұрын
We celebrate the Biblical feasts. Thanksgiving is the only manmade holiday we still celebrate because as you said, thanksgiving is for everyday, so why not? We enjoy making time for sharing a meal of thankfulness with friends and family whenever we can. 🙂
