Probably the best, straightest--up farming channel on KZbin. Edgy, unusual, original. 2025? Change the jingle for Farm Theory News. Shorter and more 'novel'. Thanks for a great year of entertaining videos, and honest commentary. I wouldn't agree with everything, but at least you present an argued viewpoint. Looking forward to 2025💪

Great farm tour, 2024 has been a trying year to get work done on the land. Hopefully 2025 will be a lot better.

Thanks for the tour, Andrew. You know in your heart the expensive option is the right one, you just need to convince yourself it’s better to get it done correct, right now, rather than regret it later. Happy New Year

Thanks for your videos this year. Always an enjoyable watch. I like your thoughts about building. More important is maybe a video of how your going to get more fodder to feed all these cows. No point expanding if you haven’t got the land to feed them. Just think of the money you could of made if you was feeding silage not extra meal. Also why don’t you put an older Mf on the feeder wagon rather than the high front line machines? Hope your have a prosperous new year! Cheers

Looking around ur fame yard some maintance in the current sheds would prolong there lives. Rain water gutters need fix and clean. Replace bend or missing tin sheets and to prolong the sheds paint some of the steel up rights and paint the tin. When ur talking about updating the farm to do another 50 years the one thing in the video u miss is accommodating the changes with robotics etc that we are just seeing now. And maybe this automation going forward can justify massive rework to the farm structure. Maybe a follow on to this video would be a video of a visit to a farm with robotics to see how u could integrate to yours. As always a great video

Great mid Christmas update Nice to see the farm buildings and to hear your thoughts on future expansion and improvements Fail to prepare, prepare to fail, totally understand the necessity for indepth planning, do it once, do it right, as you implied, cheaper in the long run. Very much enjoyed your videos, so pleased Tom Pemberton mentioned your channel Looking forward to next year's videos A Very Happy New Year to you, the team and all the families See you in 2025 Geoff

Onwards and upwards with your KZbin ,great content 👍. Like you said cow flow in sheds very important,also as you find with the out farm ventilation is in my opinion is number one . Maybe think of steeper pitch on roof/slotted sheets 🤷♂️especially as you have slatted floors with cellar . Not good losing 50 acres hope you have a plan B 😢

there seems to be a bit of a obsession with putting a roof over everything these days ........interesting to hear you talk about your out farm and the fact your cattle can stand outside in the FRESH AIR ........all important for healthy cattle. we use to out winter some cattle and you would never get any respiratory problems with them. we went out of dairy in 2017 and now have sucklers and for a few years i kept the cows and calves shut in sheds but then started getting a bit of pneumonia in the calves so the last two years i've changed the system a bit so the cows and calves have access to a open yard area .........(fresh air).....touch wood no cases of pneumonia since. but the thing is a bit in the UK is the environment agency don't like open yard areas cos of the rain water mixing with the slurry..........can never please everyone so it seems😒

So I’m guessing that your future silage pit is to replace the one on your out farm? Personally I would put up a new pit at home and make the old pit into a storage shed or a feed passage.

Great video Andrew. One question…..u said building / replacing sheds in NI isn’t possible so how are you going to get round that issue?
@Ai-lm9pb15 сағат бұрын
If you get round to putting up new stock sheds, close them up tight, forget natural ventilation and put in fans so you are in control of the ventilation every day of the year. Don't forget you will eventually be a fully housed system!!!
@adriant90015 сағат бұрын
Why do you think he will eventually be a fully house system?
@PowershiftScotland10 сағат бұрын
It's already a fully housed system & big fans are not used in the UK stock sheds, normally; Electricity expensive. Best natural Ventilation.
