Cornwall Pocket Farm

Time for a tour of my garden to see what's happening at the end of October. The tail end of a cyclone is just coming through so it's a bit breezy but we're in for a week of rain after this so I thought I'd better grab my chance!
The kitchen garden is in a half way stage with some beds planted out and some still left to the wildlife. The bees are having a fine time gathering nectar from the flowering brassicas and they are providing a bit of shelter from the wind for my seedlings that are just getting established.
The lemon, lime and orange trees have lots of deliciously scented blossom so I'm hoping for a good crop! The roses are covered in buds and have started flowering and everything is growing with abundance. My seedlings are all tucked away in the cold-frames waiting for the storm to pass and then I'll be planting out my tomato bed and getting the marquee out again - although I think I'll need to do some repairs first as it took some damage in last year's cyclones.
The grapes are growing madly along the pergola creating shade for the house and also producing lots of grapes by the look of it. The new micro-vineyard is putting on growth and again there are a few flowers - I think I might let them have just one bunch of grapes each this year as I don't want to stress the vines.
The wildlife area, come berry patch, is looking very pretty as all the wildflowers are flowering and it's a bit of a jungle, but the insects love it! There are buds on the blackberry and also the raspberries so it won't be long before we can start eating the fruit - the true taste of spring. I've already had my first strawberry and it was amazing!
DEFINITION OF A POCKET FARM

Well I never knew bananas could grow in this country! This is the first year for my veg growing. I just have 1 large bed about 16 feet by 12. I do have a greenhouse too for my tomatoes which will have to live along side my cacti collection 😂

Thanks Maria. The worst of it's past now. I've got a few more wonky plants but everything survived :-)
