Don't think it is likely that you are overbuilding it. There is a lot of force on a snow plow. Having said that the set up we have seems to work really well also. The old tractors were built very rugged. You would probably have to make a bracket with a pivot that mounts where the draw bar bolts up. Regardless, your up travel will be limited in the front by the tie rods. Thank you for watching!
