Just Subscribed Over the decades I have mowed a lot of acreage with M's and H farmalls with a drawbar mount sickle mower. I bought 555 hay bine for $100 had it 3 years nev er used it. sold it for $250.

As far as I know, New Idea built their own equipment. I have a Ford Mower and conditioner, that is the exact same unit, only painted blue. It's a slower machine than newer ones but we've used it for the past 30 years and did ok. As long as you don't expect too much. I finally bought a used New Holland, but haven't used it yes as I've had some health issues and let my neighbor do my hay lately.

Looks like a 990 International haybine with a little different sheet metal are they rebranded for IH just curious because I have a 990
