Laying Plastic Mulch for Strawberries!!

Today we made the raised beds for the strawberries patch. We are planting 10,000 strawberry plugs the next few days. We started off by getting the plastic mulch layer and made the raised beds. After that we put on the plastic and we started laying the plastic and the drip tape. It took us a few days to complete the plastic but now we are ready to plant. The strawberries came in today and we are getting the irrigation up and running!!

Turn your plows in some more to where it turns and throws the dirt! Do every other row and then come back and fill in skip ones, the reason for skipping every other row is to keep the beds from leaning. Make sure your drip tape is around 1 1/2- 2 inches deep. My cousin named the bed forming plastic laying machine ‘the whoa machine’. If the dirt is a little different in several places that machine can drive you crazy but there is no other way to do it ! Your are doing a good job I am enjoying your videos. Thank you.

Sup Dre. Came across your channel doing research for a strawberry patch i plan on starting in Caruthers,Ca. Thank you for showing everything you do as you do it. Its gotta be a pain to be doing everything AND filming at the same time. Thabks bro.

You need to run your drip for a few days to get your beds good and wet! Then your plants won't die on ya. Wet them in intervals two hrs. at a time, let them set for a period of hrs. And turn your drip back, keep doing this until your beds are wet enough to maintain the dampness, and as you are playing keep the water going on them. Don't run your drip to long at the time or your beds will get to wet and start laying down. So keep in mind not to over water through the drip and you won't destroy your integrity and shape of your bed. One question? If you use over head irrigation to water your plants in till they establish their own root system, then your drip could be run as often as needed. It normally takes around ten days for the plants to establish enough roots to hold their own. Like I said if you need some more info. Just ask...
