I lose thousands of dollars a year in fruit tree loss due to deer. Problem here is that hardly anyone seriously hunts anymore so the deer population is doubling year over year. The only thing that would actually work is increasing predators, like wolves. But people are not a fan of having hungry wolves roaming around. We can also teach our children to hunt so they grow up to be active hunters. Free food!!

I am just starting to think about strawberry plants for a 2025 garden. Do you overwinter some of your plants, or replace them every year? Have you tried the red row cover?

A fussy activity I picked up from another YT channel is to flick the tomato bloom branches back and forth to help with polination and fruiting. It seems to work well for me at least.

At one point ,when I lived in Powell River, BC, Canada. I had a beautiful garden. Very well planed and cared for by me. We could have lived off of it. Maybe? The strawberry patch had to be watched. The strawberries would take over! But who doesn't love strawberries. They are due here in Ontario, a bit warm and wet, hurry! Swiss Chard, Beans (runners and bush) Peppers, (they wouldn't grow right in Ontario) Tomato's ( they grew better in Ontario, too much rain in BC)

I am in Missouri and saw this recently. I am trying it just to see how it goes. My new plants are already blossoming and runners are coming out of them. This year's new plants... Is this common, Should I let them get berries? I saw in your earlier video that we should cut the runners, but said nothing about blossoms and berries...... Curious I am not nor ever will be a commercial grower.

My two plants are still at their first flower clusters each. The 4-days heat wave didn't help but fortumately cooled down today in zone 5b. Fruits should hopefully form in July 2024!

That's a shit load of fertilizer. Masterblend recommends 1 quart per ft² of soil applied every 1 to 2 weeks but your almost double that. Do you have any idea how your able to apply so much without issues? Clearly it's working.
