The langar system is my favourite thing about the sikh religion, the fact that anyone can eat without any cost is awesome. Recently I was in France for my education and on a weekend we decided to go to a gurudwara, a place where eating outside was really expensive and as students we couldn't afford it, it was really heartwarming to go there and be fed for free. It makes you feel as though no matter what happens, I have a place where I'll get a meal. Huge love for sikhs.

Jio got everything served on a plate... 6% farmers benefit from MSP... Mainly Haryana/Punjab... They have the mandis... Bihar/Up abolished their Mandis in 2005-6.. now compare the rates of same wheat now 14yrs later... That same wheat is 1800rs+ per quintal in Punjab/Haryana while the farmers of Up/Bihar don't have a fixed price and they're forced to sell it on extremely low prices.... This whole architecture is the sole reason that the farmers of Punjab/Haryana are the most prosperous in this country...they are Protected by the system.

I predicted in start of this protest that once khalsa aid comes to farmers, there is no turning back. There is lot of NRIs that want to help their fellow punjabis but couldn't just bcoz they didnt have any reliable or direct contact on farmer protesters. Khalsa aid provides a reliable platform to donate. By god's grace the sheer amount of money punjabis have worldwide is monumental. Also the giving nature of punjabis can run this game for years. We are sorry if delhi's dilwale are having issue coz of us. Please trust us, its for a greater good. The state that has 2% population gives 50% wheat. Other produce aside. We dont need your help. I guess "middle men" needs to be defined better. Arhtiyas come into picture with 2 % commission within the MSP. ie if wheat is being produced at 18 a kg, arhtiyas comes into picture within that 18. Now if that 18 becomes 50 in the retail market, its the wholesaler, retailer etc who are major middlemen. Trying to eliminate an arhtiya who is also a micro-financer is targeting wrong person. If you want to target, it should be 18-50 difference. Those people will be increasingly in urban areas, who are not even aware right now about whats happening. Adani is going to eat that margin, he doesnt care about 2% of the Arhtiya.

What logic is this? What government would want to keep farmers poor forever? If farmers are poor or aren't doing well, governments know they are not going to get their votes. Why would it be in the BJP's interest to keep farmers poor. Ultimately, they need their votes, no?

@@moushimoushi. The Jatt Sikhs are the most casteist people in India. They are almost the exclusive people who keep talking about their caste in songs and people celebrate them for doing it. I don't remember any songs which talk about Brahmin pride.
