interesting, I heard this before that tomatoes and some veggies are super tasty in Ukraine, but never thought about this. the best tomatoes are in farmers' markets for sure.

A nice tour of farmers’ markets. I live in Canada. We have a buckthorn that grows in the wild here as well but a different species that is not eaten; it causes stomach upset. The species you have is cultivated here for eating.

Thanks, that's interesting to know!

Wonderful video, your content is great as usual. I appreciate also to visit these small markets and the local vendors of produce and hand crafted ideas. I will have to ensure to look in these places on next visit of Kyiv😇

Thankyou, very interesting and i like that you explain where and what everything is, and even prices! But buckthorne tea without tea? Only honey and lemon?))
@TaniaKovba Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Glad you liked the video. yep, only lemon and honey + maybe ginger, sounds like a hot lemonade nah?) but if add tea it will be too much😄 we drink the same with raspberry and blackcurrant, no tea leaves

Hello Tania! Pumpkins make a really good wine, they are not just for Halloween. Not so sure about the medicinal benefits of basil, but if I ever need it, thank you for the advice😂

Hello Tania!! Are you far away from the missiles fired in Kyiv? I wish you and your family and love ones are safe and sound just to remind you what I have said to stay far away from Kyiv areas and maybe more are coming if said war will not end soonest. Be alert at all time because public places are p most possible target location.

Thank you very much for your care! I am in Kyiv mostly of the time and of course, I always take precautions when the attacks happen

I like the old Soviet Union markets. Especially the ones where you can buy old Soviet things and stuff for souvenirs! I can walk around all day in a place like that!

Thanks for showing farmers market, is this market owned by farmers? I also a farmer, and cultivate sugarcane, wheat and mustard.
@TaniaKovba Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Glad you found it interesting. These markets are organized by the Kyiv administration, and farmers pay a small fee to participate in them.

🇬🇧💛💙🇺🇦❤ I love cooking and I love shopping for bargains when possible but food in the uk now is so expensive Right now if you were living in the UK England you would be amazed off the cost of living We are doing worse than you in the Ukraine At least everything you are buying in a market is a 100% fresh and local Most of the food we get is transported from Europe EU And is now costing a lot more than it was 2 years ago And 2 people cannot live as cheap as one Fast food is too expensive Just the same as buying a cup of coffee And also in the Ukraine at least you also have good weather And everybody works together as one and as a team We do no longer see that in the uk England that's why I wish to leave the uk England are moved to Ukraine at some point in the future Start again and live life better and serves a purpose
@TaniaKovba Жыл бұрын
that's tough, right. the economy in the world became worse. at least in the UK, you know what you can expect and plan your future, not thinking about base things like safety. you are welcome to Ukraine anytime Btw, small correction - it's correct to say Ukraine, not "the Ukraine". (we are a separate state, not a region. Just Ukraine, like Germany or Poland, without "the")

@@TaniaKovba It's good to remember that average salaries and pensions are way less than in England or in most European countries. Norwegian salmon here in Finland costs also around 20€ but good quality 30.
@TaniaKovba Жыл бұрын
@@pacifist9805 sure, salmon and seafood are expensive for us. For, example my parents never buy it because their salary is only $ 150/month (the minimum salary in Ukraine)

Harasho! $2500 per month enough for a single person to live in Kyiv? Inclusive of all costs.
@TaniaKovba Жыл бұрын
Well, many depends on the lifestyle you prefer, but in general $2500 is very good money for living in Kyiv in the good apartment in the city center and having lunches in cafes every day. P.S. “Dobre” is in Ukrainian🙂”harasho” in russian.
