Why don't you just put water with the chick-mash? My Mother used to wet the babies feed and ferment grain of the Adults in a bucket overnight. And Duck-weed.

Amazing teaching sir... But I have a question sir...Why are some ducklings struggling to stand or walk after hatching? This is the second time it happening to my muscovy ducklings... Some are struggling to stand! Any medical treatment to that?

Too much or too little moisture during the incubation period could be a cause. Maybe give them supplemental calcium.

Where do you get the magadi salt and how do you deal with power failure?

Magadi salt is the normal salt licked by cows. As any veterinary doctor in your area what cow salt is. For power failure, I would assume he has backup generators.
