Farmhouse Bookshelf

I started out this Farmhouse Bookshelf with my wife asking me for a new place to hold her books. I had some rough cut cypress boards that worked great for this project. I went with the typical X style braces in the sides and the distressed finish with dark stain and white together that is seen often in this style of Farmhouse Furniture. I wanted it to have adjustable shelves in the middle so i created my own shelf pin jig in the shop and got some pretty good results.

I used a chalk paint. I’ve done it several ways , just do small tests to see what works best for you.
